This is a very comfortable spot to hang, have a cup of coffee, sandwich, breakfast, cookie etc. The owner cooks the food right there on the stove and the coffee is always fresh.

The setting probably needs a little makeover but people in New West should support this over the commercial spots (Tim's, Starbucks etc). Remember to bring cash!, as they have no debit or credit though.

Food is yummy. I'd say a more modern take on breakfast. The hash browns, whatever they did to them, yum.

The coffee (Kicking Horse) was advertised as "kick ass" and it was pretty damn good. The coffee is self-serve though and after a pot is brewed it gets swarmed by customers jonesing for some caffeine.

Service was friendly and prompt. It's unimportant for me, but you definitely notice the effort that went into the interior design - it's got a good bit of charm.

The only bad thing is the price. $15-$16 for a basic breakfast and coffee (if my memory serves me correctly) is just asking a bit much, as good as the hash browns were... the portion size does little to make up for it as well.

I would not eat breakfast here regularly due to price, but as a once in a while thing, definitely!

Great place to have breakfast. Very casual with mismatched tables and chairs, which gives it character. I highly recommend the Mexi Benny.  The salsa is made in-house and very yummy. The only thing I would change is the cheese and replace it with a true authentic Mexican cheese (like cotija) - then it would be perfect!

Still a quaint coffee shop in New Westminster, just wanted to post an update for all you Gluten Free types out there - when I was there last week I noticed several GF items on their menu board.
