I'm a geek.  A very proud geek.  Comic-Kazi brings that out in me fairly easily.

"You #*@$*! think just because a guy reads comics he can't start some s*it?"               - Brodie Bruce

Ahem, so to the point.  I've been going here for the past couple months to buy some pieces of nerd memorabilia in the form of comics.  The owners seem very nice, and the man is fairly knowledgeable in what he carries and what is coming out soon.  The lady isn't as knowledgeable, but is always very friendly.  They have a good selection of comics, toys, graphic novels etc.  A walk upstairs reveals a large room packed with older comics that you can browse through.  The downside is that many aren't in near mint shape anymore after the way they were handled and stored when they were put in there.  Many of their items are cheaper than other comic book stores especially their bags, boards and storage boxes (Small cardboard box that fits approximately 100-150 books is only $5)

All in all, it's a great little place.  Being close to home and easy to get to doesn't make it easy to save money but it does help geeks like me slowly take over the world *queue superhero theme song*

I was once impressed with this comic book store due to its varying array of Geek merchandise.

However, I was sincerely annoyed to find they cannot properly order graphic novels. I waited a month in order to receive the next volumes in a series of graphic novels I was displeased with finally receiving the exact same volumes I already had. They refused to refund me for the mistake, Citing I had gotten what I had requested. They placed all the blame on me and failed to admit to the fact that they had made a mistake. I am now at a financial loss with exact duplicates in a story I've already purchased and read. I am forced to sell the duplicates in hopes of regaining at least Some of my losses.

While I don't shop here too often (I made a promise long ago that my main supplier will always be a store in Montreal that I've shopped in since my early teens), I am impressed by the selection of new comics and related merchandise.  The staff are friendly, though not always too knowledgable about the items.  Still, I do make a trip here every so often for special items.

This place has a lot of stuff! Toys, comics, shirts, anime, even some cool sports figures which I've noticed that a lot of comic shops here in Calgary don't cary.
However the store is usually a wreck! It is messy and disorganized and half the staff don't seem to know a thing about what they're selling (or even what they have in stock). There is one fellow (who is cute as well) who knows what he's talking about. But everyone else I've encountered here is kind of clueless unfortunately.

If you can dig deep enough and find what you're looking for though, there are some cool finds and unique items here.

This is a great find if you are a comic freak, this is near the Bubbles car wash on Macleod trail so if you see their sign be prepared to turn. They have a store that isn't too large with all the basic Marvel or DC comic traditional lines but the most impressive area is the Anime and Manga area in the back.

This has the newest Manga books and Anime comics; there are character figures and just a nice array of hard to find merch.

The woman there was very friendly but she was a little occupied with a personal discussion about her private life.
