At the end of day one of our car rally. 50 rally cars and their teams descended upon the hotel for some much needed rest.
We had to drive through a snow storm to get there and we were pretty much exhausted after our meal at ABC Restaurant.
Our room was on the first floor accross from the gym and the waterslide. Kids were running around and it smelled like a hot jacuzzi. At first I was put off by the noise and the smell, but when we got into our room it was nice and quiet and didn't smell so bad. The beds were comfy and like the other guy wrote, the pillows are great.
Breakfast was available in the morning in a little breakfast area where you can get toast, boiled eggs, cereal, coffee and juice etc.
$108 was our rate and I'm sure it's like that for pretty much everyone else.
Not a bad hotel and a good place to get much needed sleep for the next days of rallying where our motto is Press On Regardless.
There was something to be said about security. One of our competitors cars got broken into last night, so don't park on the far side of the hotel where the water slides are. Park in the front if you can.
*** one challenge I had here was I had to call to book a room numerous times.
Each time they said they would call me back and never did. The fourth time I was able to book a room, but only after I had to call for the fourth time. Actually I had to call over 12 times because I kept getting hung up. I think they were changing their system and the computers and telephones were not working very well...hmmmmmm.
