I ran there with a hair colour emergency (serious emergency, Granny Grey with yellow roots might give you an idea of how bad it was) and Kim fixed me right up. The salon is relaxing but interesting. Much nicer than most places with the loud dance music, if I want to listen to drum n' bass I'll do it (actually I probably wouldn't) in a night club thanks. Colourbox plays great music, the staff are friendly and fun and best of all I left loving my hair (or to put it bluntly, I didn't feel like people were pointing and laughing on the street anymore).
Everything Kim said about the colour and what would happen happened. I feel that she is definitely a person I can trust with my hair. She is also really fun to chat with and we had great conversations during my time there. I will definitely be going back and if you're searching for a new stylist I recommend her, and the salon, highly. -

I've been coming here for almost 2 years now! Kim is still my hairdresser. She has made my stubborn thick/straight/frizzy hair look fierce when short, and maintained it well as I've been growing it out for about a year and a half, from a Rihanna long-bangs-with-really-short-sides-and-back style to a shoulder-length asymmetrical bob that was long in the front, and shorter in the back.
Today I decided to get bangs, which can be scary and a big commitment, so I brought a few pictures of what I might like, and her advice about which would work best with my hair/face shape/lifestyle was really valuable. I'm a person who is busy and loves to look nice, but hates to work at it, and double-hates trying to control unruly hair annoyances in the middle of my line of work.
She was really patient with me, and cut them long, gradually bringing them shorter until I felt comfortable stopping, and gave me a lot of advice about things I am a total n00b at at but want to practice, like how to train the bangs to relax and go in the direction I want, how to curl my hair quickly and easily, and what I can expect from the new bangs in the next couple of days (they're super boing-y right now, but will flatten down).
She is amazing, as always, left me with a fun, wavy style for the day, and I now have this cool hairstyle that makes me look like a cross between Bettie Page and a super-spy-femme-fatale-hired-assassin.Listed in: Surefires, Coveted FTR's, Red Hot Natural Mama

I've been frequenting Colour Box for a few years now, and Debbie is awesome. Men's hair can be hard to cut, but she knows her way with those scissors!

Talented hairdresser and entertainer. Doesn't miss a beat, rolling with fidgets and jumps and full of news, Ian cuts with synergy.
Always leave Colourbox excellently coiffed, laughing and thoughtful. -

Go see Debbie and learn to LOVE your curls. She also did a wonderful colour correction when I first went to see her.
The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone is very nice there. Love the products and the great music they play. -

This place is great. I've been getting my hair cut by Kim for a couple of years and I highly recommend her. Really friendly, relaxed and pro, plus all the tea you could possibly drink. What's not to like?

I've only been once so I'm not confident enough to provide a 5/5 just yet. This salon is hip without being pretentious and my hairdresser was friendly without being awkwardly too chatty. I was happy with the cut.
