Some people follow trends, Collette makes them.

Collette is known around the world as one of the top taste maker shops in Europe.

You'll find a collection of the best of the best! Not necessarily the most expensive, but unique tasteful items from around the world.  They filter at Collette, it's an exclusive boutique that is extremely critical in what they choose to showcase at their boutique.  Famous clientele include Karl Lagerfeld.

Whether you are looking for a candle, electronics, shoes, street wear, fashion, cd's, candy, you'll devour everything at Collette's.  Don't forget to stop by at the cafe downstairs for coffee, or to pick your limited edition Karl Lagerfeld, Coke Lite!

Collette is a cultural museum.  You can't leave Paris without coming here.

If you want to get a pulse on what's trending, from high end watches to art toyz, stop by Colette. Sarah and her team will be sure to have something that'll impress you. And stop by their water bar below for a bite.

I always stop by for inspiration and a moment to drool over objets I don't need but want...feels like high school again!

Perhaps it was Xmas time, or I was tired or the fact you could barely walk around but Colette left me uninspired.  The place was jam packed.  I get the shop's concept and  there were lots of interesting things to look at, but nothing I felt I hadn't seen before.  Everything seemed overpriced but that's Paris and it is on Saint Honore.

Loved the Xmas windows with the floating bubble displays.  Maybe I enjoy going through a bin of old junk in a flea market more than looking through glass cases at pricey fashionable trinkets and racks of expensive tshirts.

Definitely one of my favorite shops in Paris. Colette carries all the latest trendsetting clothes, sneakers, books and gadgets. They carry a lot of exclusive, limited edition items that you will only see on blogs.

One of my favorite shops in Paris. Very fashion forward with handpicked goods from different designers. Such a treat overall from their fashion picks to their fig candles, wall decals,  to the books and other trinkets that make for great gifts. A must stop in Paris

Fear not English speaking comrades, the staff speaks English.  It is the place to go for high end clothing AND gadgets.  Parisians love NYC so the clothing had a very hip New Yorker vibe. The music bar was my personal favorite stop since they had a well edited lounge, house and dance dj or Collette label mixes (cd or electronic download).  My husband loved all the cool Japanese gadgets.  My teenage niece loved the fashion books and magazines.  My child loved the wind up toys and gadgets.  I enjoyed the top floor styling but most likely I would not spend thousands of euros for a jacket, etc.  if you are still feeling flush but not thousands flush pop downstairs for some cute updates.  The staff were helpful and not with lots of attitude.

A friend of mine sent me a tip to check out Colette while in Paris. This friend is a fellow of impeccable taste so I, indeed, was sure to visit. The descriptions in the reviews here...design, fashion, culture...are all accurate. This was essentially a group of several types of shops rolled into one. One part design items, another part books and media, another a gallery, another men's clothing, one part women's clothing. There was also a "street" clothing section and downstairs a restaurant. Most of it was OK but the real win here was the women's clothing section. I've never seen a clothing store so well curated...with such taste. It blew me away. The prices were astronomical but you get what you pay for. The items here were not trendy but would make anything else at a club look stale. They were not screaming "look at me" but in public you couldn't help but stare. Just awesome.

If you're looking for interesting cultural artifacts you may find them here. They do mashups with other brands and some of that may be interesting but it's the women's clothing that is, without question, the most arresting aspect of the shop. If  you are a woman who appreciates style more than fashion, this is your place. Pack your plastic and breathe deep.

If you've got the big bucks, this is certainly a stylish place to spend them.
Great selection of designer duds upstairs, more affordable goods downstairs. Nice selection of art books, note pads, candles and music. Not a bad place to buy a cutting-edge gift for that special trendoid in your life.
But don't forget to don your slickest before you go. This is not just a shop, it's a place to see and be seen.

As far as boutiques go this is the best. If you've never been, think Urban outfitters if UO sold designer brands. There are constant collaborations with designers and labels and tons of special limited items that are only available at Colette. If you have a few extra Euros to blow, this is a pretty solid spot to do it.

Fashion, Shoes, Books, Music and fun little gadgets.

I used to come here after school every single day just to check out the magazines, CDs and cool gadget.

downstairs is affordable, upstairs its too pricey - unless you are Paris HIlton.

    LOVE COLETTE!

One of the "coolest boutiques" in the world, on an average day, it's average. When I was here last summer, it was quite lackluster. But they're constantly collaborating with designers, artists and other persons of note for exhibits, which include special limited edition items only sold at Colette. There is an online shop where you can purchase said items.

If you have money to blow, you will need to come here. A lot of dope merchandise - books, shoes, clothing, helmets [!margiela!] that can't be found anywhere else. Colette was the first shop to have the new Margiela perfume [the last project he was personally involved in before his departure from the Maison]. That's the kind of exclusives Colette deals with. CDG also had a guerilla shop in Colette. Tons of CDG sold here on the regular. Kaiser Karl's done at least 2 projects with Colette that I know of.

First floor has little kitschy trinkets, makeup, jewelry, the best magazines, and really hot salesmen. Second floor has your mix of uber high end couture items for sale but displayed as if they're on exhibit, and, lots of Jimmy Choo handbags for some reason. Aside from the Jimmy Choo, Sarah Colette's editing is impeccable. There's a little alcove on the second floor dedicated to the boys who love sneakers and streetwear. Basement is a cafe.

It's on one of the richest streets in Paris, blocks away from Place de Vendome. AWESOME people watching.

This place is rather ridiculous. There is a water bar on the bottom floor...kind of dark in there and crowded. Middle floor is tennis shoes and kitsch stuff. Third floor is very expensive clothes that most people have absolutely no place to go in. Occasionally have good sales, once I scored a very nice Fendi dress for 1/3 of the original price. But like I said, I've worn it once and can't imagine finding another occasion to sport it. Regardless, it's a fun place to go and look around.

Do not miss Collette when shopping!  We stopped here for a bite to eat after the Louvre, and turns out that have such a great shopping area.  I  could not stop buying things here, so many cool little trinkets and fashion finds.  I highly encourage you to check the store out when in the area!  I will be back!

This was a must see spot for a collector of things like myself. It's like a pilgrimage you make when in Paris. My first time here blew me away. I expected the store to be on a much smaller scale. The space is huge, i believe 3 stories total. Lot's of helpful employees to answer questions and a line at the register that moves fast. You really can't bring enough money here if you're looking for cool stuff. They also have a grab bag for 20 Euro that i took advantage of. No pictures on the inside allowed which is a bummer. Overall a great experience. You get pulled in every direction because there is something interesting in every corner of the store.

I've heard this was the best urban street boutique in Paris.  Boy was i right. They carry all the major japanese brands commes, bape, supreme, neighborhood.  This is more like a department store.  Every brand has its own department, I mean bape has its own sign in the corner, Original fake has its own section along the wall.  They have rare medicom bearbricks and even sell Monster beats by dre headphones.  This is a must see and is right down the street from the Louvre.

What once was maybe too hip and edgy has now adolesced into a mellow refined coolness that may no longer turn heads, but still worth a peek.  The level of couture has dropped a bit but can still be had...  for a price, usually in ultra-limited one-offs (ie, I got my killer Comme des Garcons wallet here).

They also host the best fashion week afterparties, with frequent sightings of Justice, members of Phoenix, LCD Soundsystem, Stardust and Kid Loco.

One of the very few places I remember during my trip to Paris and one of the very few boutiques I remember from all of my traveling experiences. I absolutely love this urban meets couture boutique. They have several unique selections in each of their divisions ranging from home+fun books+tech+music to street wear to high end women's clothing. Their women's clothing section literally looks like a museum. Minimalistic space with mannequins draped in $$$$ worth of clothing pieces. I spent about a good hour here with my best friend and purchased a couple of things for friends from the main floor where all the cool gadgets and music selections were. We also had lunch at the cafe downstairs. It's cute but forgettable. Save your money and get a bite at other yummy places like Buddah Bar or Kong.

Collete is clothing, art, music, design, beauty, culture and lifestyle. It has everything from the latest Jean-Paul Gaultier collection to Tattoo Brite body lotion (it provides long-term anti-fading, anti-inflammatory protection for the tattooed). This is THE shopping experience of a lifetime.
