Wow! This place really lived up to expectations... I work close by and after reading all the glowing reviews, decided to try it out for myself.

Mmmmmmm... Am I ever glad I did!

    Absolutely delicious!  Highly recommended.

(When I walked in I mentioned to Soo Kwon, the wife half of the proprietor team of two, that I was here because of the reviews on Yelp*... At that point, one of the other patrons started singing it's praises as well! heh heh)

I can't wait to go back and try all their fare.

I've finally found love in a coffee shop.
"Coffeeholic: Handdrip Roastery" is my dream come true.

Not only do they roast your beans and grind per order, each cup is handdripped. That means of course, you should not expect to be in and out in a flash like we tend to do around these North American parts. But this is absolutely the place to go if you're into the entire experience of coffee - to take home or stay - with friends, a book, or  FREE wifi.

But forget the free stuff, be prepared to pay up for the ONLY Kopi Luwak Coffee and Cold Brewed Coffee served in a Canadian cafe. I haven't tried the latter yet, but i implore you to go try the former.

On top of great, fresh roasted specialty beans, the shop also features and sells lots of coffee knick knacks. Snacks are limited to sweet baked goods, and include an assortment of kosher items.

I almost don't want to post this review for fear this newish business will explode with customers, but there's plenty to share, ya?

This is my go-to place for the best store bought coffee in Toronto. They do it all!

It is a small unpretentious place, that is attractively laid out. They have a terrace in the back (small). Near the back of the store, they have a nice modern industrial coffee bean roaster. And they know how to use it.

They do everything right when it comes to Java. There is no 'crowd' scene here, nobody to admire, just one star the COFFEE.

I have not used the wifi but they have it. I have tried their teas and those do not rate as highly although excellent.

    You must try it!

This is a truly amazing coffee shop. If good coffee is an art, then this is the place.  They roast their beans on site and the quality is outstanding. Take the espresso home and give it a try. The decor is comfortable and there are two patios: one out front and one out back.  Both are small, but a good place to hang out.

I've tried a lot of their different drink options and they are all good.  Since each drink is based on their great coffee, you just need to find what you like best.  Even the signs on the daily coffee brews help you to figure out which will be most to your liking.  I still say that the espresso is the best of their offerings.  I haven't tried the Kopi Luwak, which they do carry.  My pockets aren't that deep.  Speaking of deep pockets, you won't need them (save for the Kopi Luwak).  The prices are totally reasonable, especially considering the slightly more labour intensive approach they take.

My only wish is that they would stay open later into the evening.  It would make a great after work or evening relaxing locale.

Seriously, give it a try.  You will not regret it.

I walked in to an overwhelming stench of burnt coffee (at least that's what it smelled like to me)... now I don't know whether that was a part of the roasting process but holy cow I couldn't stay in there for too much longer.  Luckily I was able to sit out on the (front) patio...

    The good:
+ good (not great, too dark for me) Americano
+ for $3.70 got the Americano plus a toasted and buttered bagel...
    + spacious clean washroom
+ patio with well spaced tables, seating for about 10... not that Eglinton traffic is the best sight...  Oh reading the other reviews I see there is a back patio and wifi - have to try that out next time

    The bad:
    - aforementioned smell
    - I asked for water and got a small cup of it reminiscent of what you'd get when you'd be in a food court, order chicken teriyaki and ask for a glass of water... it wouldn't be that hard to have a pitcher of water out with the condiments...

I'm always looking for a place that does coffee well whenever I travel, and this place does exactly that.  I've got my places in Boston that roast their beans fresh, so I have high expectations.  Based on the Yelp reviews, we chose Coffeeholic and couldn't be happier.

Another user mentioned a burnt coffee smell upon entering, but that is indeed a byproduct of the roasting process.  Don't let that keep you from visiting this place!

I asked the owner which varieties they had available, and she pointed me towards two options for drip coffee.  I assumed they only had drip (which was a huge disappointment), so I just ordered from the two selections.  Only upon reading the menu fully did I realize they had press, cold-brewed, and hand-poured.  :(  The drip coffee was surprisingly good and much better than I would have expected.  Full flavored and not bitter in the least.

And KOPI LUWAK!!!  I'd only heard about it, and after working up the courage (and permission from the wife) to spend $20 on one cup of coffee, I asked for a cup only to find out that they were out.  DOH!!!

I can't comment on their fresh-roasting or their availability of beans.  The had . . . 6 (?) bins of raw beans, but they were all empty.  I don't know if that's typical, but it seemed kinda odd.

I would definitely make this a regular stop if I lived in the area.

Great local coffee spot on Eglinton West. West of Bathurst and east of Allen Road. They roast their coffee beans on the premises and the result is full-bodied, rich, satisfying coffee. They also brew delicious tea. The atmosphere is great. It is comfortable and relaxed and they have a back patio as well as some benches out front. The owners are lovely, friendly people.
