The Cock & Bull is a victim of its own location. Located in the middle of Bells Corners, there really a lot around it as far as a bar scene goes. The owner himself recently said in a newspaper article that sales used to be better when they had the Vox Lounge located beside it. What that means is this huge pub/restaurant is rarely packed. That is a shame because the place is pretty nice. There are a lot of pubs in the area and this one has some character. There is a large dining area, a lounge area with comfortable chairs, a big bar area and a huge patio. If the Cock & Bull was located a bit closer to the city centre or had other businesses around it to help make a destination for the drinking crowd, it would be doing a lot better. Still, it isn't always dead and if you're in the mood for some good local music, you can often find some playing on the small stage the Cock & Bull has. This is the perfect place for a group of people to have drinks and food and not be bothered nor have their service taken up by other large groups. The bar itself is fully stocked and they can put together most drinks, that includes draft beer which they have a lot of. Off the top of my head I would say they have 10 or more taps. The food is pretty good, but nothing too exciting. it's just good pub food. Nothing bad about it, just the classic pub grub.
