This coast mountain sports has a pretty massive selection. I think it is bigger than the one at city center.

The store is great for things related to the outdoors, winter jackets, camping gear, etc. Everything is of great quality. The staff here is great, they are really friendly and go out of there way to help you out. If they don't have what you're looking for they will call around for you.

4 stars based on the service alone.

I'm not much into sports and the outdoors, but if my boyfriend needs to pick up something this is where he usually heads, and I'll tag along for the fun. It's a pretty large store, with men and women's clothing and shoes, and lots of sports gear and equipment, from skates to camping gear. The prices are pretty good when something's on sale, otherwise I wouldn't usually get anything here. My boyfriend likes their jackets, he doesn't usually go anywhere else for them. They're kinda sporty, slick but not too dressy, and often waterproof.

You can tell they work on commission here though, because once a sales staff sees that you're interested, they swoop in and hover around you until you make a decision. I hate that. And then they'll mark their name on the item's tag so they get the credit. Okay, I get it, it's the store's policy, but can't they have one that's less annoying?

This store is great if you're looking for gear for your next outdoor adventure. The store seems to go on and on all the way to the back where you're met by a climbing wall. Want to see if those shoes you just bought really are good for climbing? Try it out here. Or just try the climbing wall for fun anyways and bring a date along.

The staff here are friendly, but sometimes I feel they're pressuring me to buying something so that they can get commission. They have a wide selection of equipment and accessories, and I found the sales associates to have an equal knowledge of all their products. I have been looking around for sleeping bags for upcoming summer time camping, and I found their selection to be good.

Personally, I prefer MEC over this store due to their more up to date selection and friendlier staff.

This location isn't as good as the other location in the city but it's OK.

The staff here are friendly and attentive but the push the limit of being TOO attentive.  They get very pushy and make it seem like they are working strictly on commission (I don't know how they get paid, it just seems like it has something to do with commission because of their attitudes towards making the sale).

Also, I find the staff to have a wide range of knowledge but none of them really have specialized knowledge in one area.  I guess this can be a good thing and a bad thing.  It was bad for me because my boyfriend and I were inquiring about kayaks and required someone with in depth knowledge - at least more than our own knowledge, otherwise we wouldn't have gone to a store!!!

They have some nice stuff though.  And their prices are pretty good.  If you're looking for sports stuff, you'll wanna check this place out.  I've only gone there for outdoor stuff (kayaks, camping, etc) and I've always found some good stuff.

I bought my first pair of Crocs at this location of Coast Mountain Sports. It is a large store, but not so huge that it is overwhelming, carrying clothing for all kinds of sporting activities. It also has some sports gear and accessories. I don't know much about sports, but the prices seem reasonable, as is the selection. I liked some of their backpacks, and when I needed another pair of Crocs this past summer, I headed here first, but alas, they did not have my size.
