If you are in Toronto, It is definitely a must visit tower. It gives you a 360 view of Toronto. You can assess the magnitude of this city and it s different +/-s. Also, the top of the tower gives you an air-plane view feeling, you will enjoy it!

As far the attractions, I don't think that they are necessary to see because they don't relate to the tower experience. So, I don't recommend them.

I went on a Tuesday so I didn't have to wait in line, I spent a total of 45 mins. It was sufficient! Especially, since the parking across is a bit expensive.

Overall, I enjoyed it but not something to do again and again...

Arrived by 10 am on a Monday, had very little wait for tickets and no wait whatsoever for our first attraction: "Himalamazon" motion simulator ride. (Mini review of ride: somewhat fun, somewhat motion-sickness-inducing. My 9yo loved it, my 8yo hated it. Ten minutes. You might try the 3D movie instead. But you probably want to do one or the other, since your 20% off coupon from Attractions Ontario is not good on the Total Tower package, nor the observation deck-only ticket.)

Pro tip: stand toward the door side of the elevator on your way up - that's where the windows facing out are.

Superuser tip: upon exiting Le Tour, cross the plaza to the Steam Whistle Brewery and sidle up to the bar for a free pour. Kids can get a Coke in a genuine old fashioned glass bottle out of the old-timey machine. Everyone's happy.

This is definitely worth doing if your a tourist in Toronto. Somethings to be aware of though.
Don't bother with the Sky Pod, it's not worth the extra money to be that much higher, or the long wait.

Do jump on the Glass floor, it's fun watching people freak out.

Take your Camera and make some memories.

Cheers.

I came here at night during the winter and loved the experience. The view is amazing especially with the city lights and planes landing at Toronto Island Airport. There were very few people at the time I went so it was easy to look in whichever direction you wanted. The see-through was a little uncomfortable although it offers an amazing view showing just how high up you are.

Unfortunately the exterior deck was closed for winter so we were stuck inside limiting the view somewhat from the main area (no looking down). We were however able to go to the top observation deck that was above the main area. There is no outside portion to this area but there are angled windows providing a great view down. The safety lights on the tower were a bit distracting and caused difficulty taking pictures as they caused the entire observation area to turn different colors (red, purple, blue . . .).

I love the view and want to come back this time in the day (and in the summer so I can go outside).

I waited three years to go up the CN Tower and it was worth the wait. Other than the hour-long line I had to stand it to get up, I couldn't have imagined a better view of our beautiful city.

Splurge to go to the Sky Pod -- 33 stories higher than the main level, it's worth the extra $4.

Definitely a great way to see Toronto and get a feel for just how big the city is.  Two pieces of advice if you go:
1. If you don't like glass floors, the elevator ride up is not going to be fun.
2. Go early, the lines start getting long mid to late morning (especially for the pod elevators).

I love going up high towers and this did not disappoint.  The ride up was cool because a strip of the elevator floor was glass to see through.  Up top is an amazing view.  And the glass floor and amazing. Go there just to watch other peoples reactions.  The kids are fearless and adults are shaking.  If you are in Toronto you have to go!

One of the top things to do on my list before I'm dead..and mission accomplished! Declared as the modern seven wonders of the world by American Society of Civil Engineers (also been to Chichen Itza's El Castillo in Mexico). Standing at 1,815 ft tall, it's the world's tallest free-standing tower. I've been to the Sears Tower in Chicago five years ago. In comparison, the CN Tower overpowers the Sears Tower in structure and height.

The elevator takes you up to the top of tower which overlooks the beautiful sceneries and skylines of Toronto. The observation deck can get really windy so carry a light hoodie or cardigan. If you wander to the glass floor area, tourists and visitors can lay on the floor for candid pics. You can literally see an open view of the tower below through the glass reflection (*Not recommended if you are scared of heights*). My husband and I took the opportunity to take some amazing shots. We also got tickets for The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D Theatre Experience which takes viewers on a 3-D experience on the ocean life and reef that shapes the waves and island of Tahiti which was pretty awesome!

The Tower also has a restaurant, "Himalamazon" ride, and other featured events and attractions. This is definitely a trip worth making to view and experience the sights of an amazing architecture.

If you are visiting Toronto, this should be on your list of places to go.  It has a 360 degree view of Toronto and Lake Ontario 114 stories above the ground. It has a glass floor  on the very top where you  can view how far up you are. People on the ground look like little ants and boats look like mini chalks. It is truly one of the sites to visit.

One of the things you have to do in your life: Take the elevator up 58 seconds to get to the top of the world! When you get to the top of the CN Tower, you can see the entire city...Breath-taking views, which are peaceful and serene.  If you are not afraid of heights, look out the elevator as you are going up and down the tower!  Travel to the glass floor area to look down the tower, what a trip!  My husband and I laid down on the glass floor and took pics like all the tourists.  It was one of the best pictures of the trip so far!

The CN Tower also has a restaurant, video, and a ride.  We chose the Himalamazon ride, which is a simulation ride like Star Wars in Disneyland.  If you get motion sickness, don't ride, but it is an interesting, fun experience.  You get sprayed with water during water-scenes!

Definitely true that it is one of the top 25 things to do in TO!

CN is believe-N

The CN Tower is this giant stick with a restaurant stuck on top in downtown Toronto.  The point of this ridiculous contraption was to be the tallest structure in the world.  It is no longer the tallest structure but it remains to be a wonderful place for tourists and locals alike to take in a view of the city.

We were told that it would not be possible to have dinner on the night that we came.  Tip: make reservations.  After Girl A told us that we couldn't have dinner we went to Girl B.  Girl B let us reserve 9 oclock.  At 8 oclock we rode the elevator up to the restaurant.

The elevator moves fast.  Your ears will plug and pop.  The floor and walls are glass so you can look down and see the ground moving further and further away from you, or look to the front and see the same thing but in a less scary view.

The level below the restaurant has a cafe, which is slightly less expensive than the restaurant, and a viewing platform.  There are pay-telescopes littered around the edges as well as a glass portion of floor so you can see below.

At about 845 we were seated in the 360 restaurant.  Mind you, our reservations were for 9.

There are two ways to reach the top: pay 20 dollars for the privilege of riding the elevator, or pay about 50 dollars for dinner.  Steps to go up to the top and pay nothing:
1) Reserve a spot at the restaurant
2) Ride the elevator
3) Ask if you can look around before eating
4) Leave after looking around

Overrated. This is definitely an excellent way to see the entire city but it's also a really expensive way to do so. If you plan on spending a good hour or two there, then it's definitely worth doing. If you don't like heights though, I don't recommend going here or if you're claustrophobic. I heard the package with the restaurant is the best deal. I think once you've been to one observation deck, you've been to them all. $26 a person for the observation deck and the sky dome is a bit steep. It does look really cool at night though I will give them kudos for that.

Lying on the glass floor of the CN Tower was listed as one of the top 25 things you must do in Toronto, so I just had to come.

The exterior reminds me very much of the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas, NV. However, the difference between the two is that the elevator in the CN Tower has glass windows and a glass floor for your viewing pleasure as you ascend to the observation deck (glass ceiling when you descend). This is definitely not for those that have a fear of heights. I had sweaty palms prior to boarding, but the whole ride up was so smooth and quick (only 1 minute!), that I was fine and was in awe as we went up. The CN Tower also has a glass floor on the observation deck. I hovered at the edges for a long time, not really trusting the glass floor, but as kids and adults jumped on it and the Tower employee assured us it was strong enough to hold a couple of elephants, I plopped over and set myself down on the glass floor. I could see the Rogers Center and Steam Whistle Brewery below.

I only opted for the cheapest package, which was $22.99 for the observation deck and glass floor. Other reviewers have said that the extra $4 was not worth it to go up to the SkyPod so I skipped it. This is definitely worth a trip up if you want a full view of Toronto. It was a little hazy out when I went up, but I could just make out the buildings over at Niagara Falls. What a sight!

One of the most amazing 7 wonders of the world man made creations

The elevator ride up for the observation deck is $25. If you want to watch a movie on how and the history behind the CN it is $30.  And $38 for the the top floor of the tower.

The elevator ride up usually takes about 3 mins the operator said, but on the day we went it took 6 mins because of the crazy windy conditions. And there was a clear window where your feet are to see the bottom. Very trippy if you are afraid of heights.

Seriously incredible view of the the city and the skylines of Toronto. We went on a windy (25 - 35mph winds) and super wet day so it was kinda scary. We can hear the windy gusting through the doors.

On the observation deck there is a clear window where you can see the bottom, so a lot of visitors likes to stomp on that darn clear window. VERy trippy stuff for a first timer there because you can feel the vibration shakes...

Notes: Go on a off hour to save time to get in. Very cool security check point system where you stand there and they blow air on you

all right, i s'pose this is on the list of must-see toronto sites but i was unfortunately underwhelmed. since we bought the city pass it was worth it go to here but geez regular prices are expensive and no discounts to be seen anywhere! instead of paying for the pricey $3 per half hour (!) parking nearby we found some metered parking a few blocks away (later spotted some $5 flat rate lots just north of the tower!). CN tower is immersed within many of the business towers downtown so it was interesting to be surrounded by businesspeople going about their routines as we're dressed in tourist garb and toting our cameras. :)

the CN tower visit itself is pretty quick - probably a little over an hour if you take your time. there's an elevator that takes you to the viewing area and it only has glass closest to the door and a few small windows in the ground (so try to grab a spot towards the front left or right or enter right before the doors close!). when we got up there the initial viewing area is best for pictures with the restaurant (prices aren't that bad - price fixe $32 with a burger for $17) taking up about half of the area overlooking the water and an overly pricey cafe occupying about a quarter of the space.

downstairs you can go outside but there are wires making pictures not as snazzy. and i was excited to take pictures with the glass floor but it's only a small area, there are way too many support beams in the way, the view from down below is boring (it overlooks grass and a few park benches - not exciting traffic or anything), and it's virtually impossible to take a photo that looks like you're falling (which is what we, and everyone else, was trying to do). they do offer professional photos with the camera mounted about 10 feet above and while the pictures come out better you can still see the support beams and it's not that exciting.

our city pass also included the himalamazon ride - a 4D ride with a story line i didn't understand at all. i was confused as to who the audience was for the story - would little kids understand genetic modification of trees?, would adults be tricked into believing all of the scientific inaccuracies, and why the heck am i a LOG?? you basically enter a star tours style 16ish person vehicle, fasten your seat belt, and watch on a screen as if you're a log going on a roller coaster ride to your doom. you're splashed with water more times than i thought was necessary and they flick your legs with hair during times i didn't really understand. would probably be better with 3D glasses on. maybe i'm spoiled by having been to the disney theme parks but i wasn't very amused.

probably a place that you "should" go to as a tourist but i think it's a little overrated and expensive for a few photos of the skyline, would probably recommend making reservations for lunch at the restaurant, grabbing a few $17 burgers, and savoring the view for less money.

A must see when in Toronto.
Amazing view of the city from the top - great for pictures.
Do go during the day for better view and photos. Try to avoid cloudy/ rainy/ foggy days - you won't see a thing and will lose your $.

Another good reason to go during the day is for the glass floor feature. It's a very small section of the CN Tower but still fun. You get to stand or sit or even lay down and see all the way down from the top. During the day, again your pictures will come out better, plus they take "professional" pictures there too - you can purchase on your way down.

Once you're up there, make sure to go out to the observation deck. You will get a better view plus wind feels like it's blowing 500 miles/ hour. It's a really cool experience.

Elevator ride is also fun, since you get to see out while going up or down. plus on a windy day it moves sideways too :p

Even though I didn't eat there, they also have a restaurant up there with fantastic view of the city.

This is definitely one of those things to put on your '100 Things To Do Before You Die' list.

Went as part of a CityPass package - no lengthy wait in line, no crowds. Went at around 10am on a weekday I believe.

The view was spectacular from the observation deck. We had a pretty fun game of trying to spot our car in the parking lot a few blocks away; and we did! Now the real fun part would be if we were watching it be towed/broken into. LOL?

I loved the glass floor section of the deck. A tad disappointed in the size, since it's a segment, and not all the way around. It apparently had every child in a 10 mile radius standing on it (and I thought there wasn't a line?!) It's interesting to see the height through this glass floor, and even a bit intimidating. I wanted to jump up and down and see how strong it was but didn't want to freak anyone out. ;)

The elevator ride was also great - they had a guide operator inside that gave us a bit of information about the tower and the elevator ride, etc. I could tell they felt like robots though - imagine saying the same thing over and over for 8 hours a day?

Another fun moment was going into the open-air part of the observation deck; where the wind feels like its BLOWING A BILLION MILES AN HOUR! AWESOME! -action movie sequence- You really get a sense of the power of nature by standing out there, even for a few moments.

(We didn't eat here, so we can't comment on that part, and we did try out the gift shop, but decided against buying anything due to the cost)

So I did this and Seattle's Space Needle within one week of each other, and the CN Tower kick's the space needle's butt.  First, it actually looks like a needle (unlike the space needle), but more importantly, it actually is the second largest building in the WORLD.  The space needle isn't even the largest building in Seattle...

On the observation deck there's a small glass area where you can look all the way down.  If you're not afraid of heights (or only mildly afraid, like me) I'd definitely recommend standing or lying on it.  It's definitely a trip.

We didn't do this, but you guys should look into the eating option.  Since it costs something like $20 per person just to go up there, and its free to go up there if you eat at their restaurant, it may be worthwhile to eat up there.  And if you do, let me know if its worth it!

Canada Day reminded me of all the wonderful things Canada offers: cute girls, poutine, and the CN Tower.

The Tower is certainly worth a visit. From the observation deck on a clear day, one can take in Toronto in all its glory.

I first came here awhile ago, and it left its mark on me. Yes, it's touristy, and the lines can be long, but you can't beat that view. The view may be a bit nauseating to those with a fear of heights, but it's not entirely unreasonable. Just remember, you're behind glass!

I'll be back to try the restaurant.

First of all, I'm not a big fan of heights. I'm especially not a big fan of large glass windows that really emphasis just how high up you are, and the fact that if something were to suddenly happen, that it is a long, LONG way to the ground. Of course, me being me, I'd probably some way to make the situation humorous as I am plummeting to my imminent death...but hey...you gotta laugh at certain situations. And if I am falling thousands of feet to my doom, then more than likely I'm going do some somersaults and a swan dive...might as well make it worth it.

Luckily, I survived my climb to the summit of CN Tower.

First of all, CN Tower is an amazing structure that can be seen from virtually even nook and cranny of Toronto...which is actually very handy to have when you're a new person in an unfamiliar city, and have no idea which direction is which, and have no idea where the hell anything it is. I do however, know exactly here CN tower is, because I can always see it. So, I generally have a good idea of where I am going...which is good, given I didn't think to pack any maps of Toronto...and for some odd haven't thought about buying one...

The view from the top of the tower is simply...breath taking. Even more breath taking when you are sharing it with a pretty amazing girl too. The whole panoramic view of the surround area for hundreds and hundreds of mile...is just...I mean...words cannot describe how spectacular it really is. It's something you truly have to witness first hand in order to really grasp how amazing it is.

It's well worth the price of admission...and well worth putting aside your slight fear of heights...or major fear of heights.

I've lived in the city for several years but I find that I'm back here quite often (1-2 times per year) because the view is just spectacular and I love the photo opportunities.

My first visit usually involves the stair climb for either the WWF or The United Way. If you perform the climb before 07:00 you get a free voucher for a return visit...on the elevator ;)

Regular admission gains you access to fresh/windy air with a panoramic view. It's difficult to take photos on that floor though because of the "suicide fence" but if you go up one floor you can snag some shots through glass with mixed results. The glass floor is always fun too but generally unhygienic.

I'm not upset by the fact that the CN Tower was dethroned by Burj Dubai (and possibly others soon) because its only purpose is as a  communications tower and tourism spectacle. The Sears Tower and Burj Dubai are far more impressive due to their mixed-use facilities. Despite that, I still think it's a great piece of our skyline and wouldn't want to see it go anywhere.

Every time I come back to the city from a trip or whatnot I'm happy to see the tower because I know it signifies home. It's also great as a guide when traipsing around town so you'll always know where you are.

I've been here twice and both times have been really fun.  I'm not 100% fearless of heights, but I do get that rush when I'm up there.  What I really like about the tower is the section of glass floor that they have.  Apparently it's strong enough to hold a couple elephants or something (It's been a while, I don't know the exact strength).  I definitely couldn't get myself to cross it when I first saw it...but after you start seeing little kids JUMPING on it...you almost have no choice but to suck it up and cross.  Though, I didn't jump on it.  I briskly walked/ran across it haha.

I'll probably end up going there again if I go up to Toronto again cause it's simply a great and beautiful view.

If you're in Toronto as a tourist you have to do this.  It's only the tallest tower in the world!  The tickets are pretty pricey depending on which package you get, but the views from above are amazing.

I suggest going earlier in the morning, because the later you go, the longer the lines & the waits get.  I think it's worth it to pay a little more to go to the sky pod & have a higher view.  If you go on a clear day it's beautiful.

Also, the glass floor was pretty rad.  A few of the people I went with were a little scared at first, but it's so much fun to be able to walk over the glass & see everything underneath you so far below.  It is not meant for those scared of heights tho.

All in all, it's worth taking the time to do, especially if you want to be able to see Toronto from above.

I have acrophobia.  What the hell was I doing at a place like this?  Well, let me back up a little bit.  My acrophobia is such that I don't mind heights if I am in an enclosed place.  I have been to the observation rooms at both the Sears Tower and the John Hancock Building in Chicago.  But they are indoors and I stay about a foot back or so from the windows.  I am fine in an airplane, but taking off does upset me a little.  I hate high rides like at Six Flags.  In atriums, I tend to stay away from the edge.

So on a recent Sunday, while visiting Toronto, my husband wanted to go up in the CN Tower.  I thought I would try to conquer my fears by going onto the outside deck, but stay away from the edge.  What I wasn't told about was the glass floor that is on the outside deck.  When I got out there, I froze, back against the wall!  Now keep in mind that I am Deaf.  My husband is not and even though I can talk, we primarily use ASL.  So picture this, my husband signing to me to come on and have a look and me with my back to the wall shaking my head "No!"  I don't know how many onlookers knew ASL but they could sure guess our conversation.  Also I should mention that I am almost six feet tall and I still have an athletic build, so I must have been quite a sight.

So I went back in and went up to the enclosed deck and I could breathe again.  Once I did that and collected my nerves, I was able to enjoy the views from a safe distance.  In short, when it comes to heights, I am a wuss and I am proud of it!  So leave me alone!

As for the tower itself, it is pretty nice.  It is the tallest free standing structure in the world.  It is actually a glorified TV and radio antenna.  The story is that when high buildings started being built in Toronto; they interfered with TV and radio reception, so this tower was built.  It also has restaurants (beware, they are expensive) and meeting rooms.

While visiting Toronto you must do one very tourist thing which costs money - and that will be going up the CN Tower.

A little over priced (it cost $23, I thought it was more worth $15 but cie l'vie), the thrill of shooting up in the glass lift (for extra bonus fun pretend you are Batman and you just used one of your utility belt thingamabobbers to shoot up a building) as you go higher and higher the anticipation to reach the top and explore the view is incredible. Once out of the lift you will be in awe of the Toronto skyline and water view.

Also not to be missed is the glass floor - this is not made for people with a fear of heights... me, I was one of the people sitting on it posing for photos.

It was also fun to have all sort of buildings "there's my flat" and "there is where I used to live" pointed out by my friend who is a Torontonian. More fun was the lift ride down!

Not really sure about this place ,its a great spot to see over and around Toronto, but the view on the outside observation deck is obscured by security fencing.

Its worth going up to the Skypod as the views are uninterrupted ,to my mind this means no glass to obscure things ,tbut otherwise the views are better than down below and you can get far better pictures. The overall impression you receive is that the architecture of Toronto is nothing to write home about.

God knows why people wet themselves about the glass floor, I had some idea about this going all the way around the observation deck but it is just a small section about the size of a small bedroom.

Overall worth doing ,not overly expensive unless you are a family of course, but don't get your hopes up if you have been up any other tall buildings, doesn't have the visceral outside experience of the Empire State or the Roppongi Tower in Tokyo.

Look at me, a girl who is terrified of heights, giving 5 stars to the tallest free standing structure in North America (and before 2007, the entire WORLD). How's that for fantastic?

It's tourist central, but if you want to see the ENTIRETY of Toronto (and, on a clear day, all the way to New York) then you want to come to the CN Tower.

The building itself, once you get up close to it, is really ugly, I mean, it's basically made entirely of concrete and it's just not cute.

If you are crazy, and are just like the other thousands of people, there is a floor where you can see all the way down, and a lot of people like to lay down and take pictures. If you are like me, then you will stay far far away from that.

There are some cool facts whilst you wait in line for the elevators, like people that hop up the stairs or something crazy like that. The elevators are clear, so you can see in every which way direction. Again, if you are like me, make sure you are at the edges, not so you can look outside, but so you can grab the bars for dear life.

Tickets aren't cheap ($22 unless you go with the more expensive options). The next time I'm in Toronto I probably wouldn't go back up, but believe this acrophobic, you need to go at least once.

The gift shop is a joke, please don't go in there.

Really cool place to visit if you're visiting Toronto for the first time. I mean, I understand that it's a super touristy spot and obviously having been there I know that only tourists really go there, but, you can spot soooo many cool things from the top! I went to Toronto forgetting about Will Alsop's awesome Sharp center being there and thanks to the CN tower, I was able to spot it and it became the next destination of my trip :) It also allows you to take a look at how beautifully Toronto is designed. I fell in love with the city by just looking at it from the top of the tower.
The glass floor is pretty cool too although I wish there was more of it.

the 360 restaurant is good. Can be a good spot for a date.

I would suggest if you're just going to the observation deck to go in the evening before the sun sets. It's not as busy and it's an amazing view.

oh and the glass floor isn't that spectacular.

Here's the deal:

1. You're going to wait about 2.5-3 hours to get up into the tower. Longer if you want to go into the skypod. BUMMER!

2. It's going to cost you about $15, to do so. Canadian of course. CHA'CHING!

3. Shit is tall. Real tall. Real real real tall. 1,815.39ft tall. Damn SON!

4. On a clear day you can see the mist over Niagara Falls AND skyscrapers in Rochester New York from up top. VIEWS LIKE WHOA!

5. You can buy tower inspired shot glasses (about 1ft tall) in the gift shop at the base. HOW NOVEL!

6. Quebec has always been the rebellious stepchild that the rest of the country hates but accepts anyway, seeing as Quebec is equally represented on one of the many lengthy illustrated posters of each province hanging from the ceiling in the base of the tower. GET IN LINE QUEBEC, YOU'RE NEVER GONNA SEPARATE!

7. 2 million+ mofo'z go all up in the tower per year. BOAT LOADS OF FOOLZ YO!

8. It's hit by lightning 40-50 times annually! The electricity grounds out via a big ass metal rod in the core running the length of the tower. DON'T GET SHOCKED SUCKA!

9. It's got a glass floor! SCARY!

10. The top of the tower can sway up to six feet. THRILL RIDE!

There you go, that's about everything you'll learn on the tour. Now you only need to go up for the view and the expensive food.

It's just not natural to shoot yourself high into the air like this.

And, by the way, that "glass floor" is not really the ENTIRE floor -- it's just a miniscule patch the size of my bathroom mirror. And if it's not obstructed with children fearlessly slamming their feet down onto it, then it's covered with a nice collage of peanut-butter stained handprints.

As I slink far away from what everyone's there to see -- the ground, way, way down below -- I recognize that, as a tourist centre, it does its job and helps people realize that Toronto's not just a sprawling city of skyscrapers. Yes! We have water! And Islands with activity on them! And some pretty cool patches of neighbourhoods!

Anyway, you don't need to go back up the Tower if you've been there once before, but for first-timers who are actually into the geography of their place, it's a nice first-stop to get your bearings.

This isn't much more than an expensive elevator ride, with an even more expensive gift shop at the bottom. The cool thing about it though is that once you're up at the top you're really glad you came, because it dwarfs practically any other "attraction" in Toronto.

There are several different levels from which you can take in the city surrounding the tower, and many miles out on a clear day (which most of them seem to be in this city). At the very top is the Sky Pod, which gives you the absolute highest view man can reach while still connected to Earth (not including mountains). Below that is a level with a few glass tiles on part of the floor where you can look straight down to the ground. This area is perfect for scaring your friends who are afraid of heights. Just above this level is an "outdoor" observation deck, with just a screen separating you and the icy cold air near the top of the tower.

There's not much "to do" at the tower, other than look around. There is a restaurant, which I will review separately, but staring through various forms of glass at buildings pretty much sums up what you'll experience here.

I've been to the observation deck of several of the tallest towers in the world, so I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to visit the top of the CN Tower on a bright sunny day.  It was disappointing that the outdoor walkway was closed due to "weather".  As far as I could tell, it was not due to wind, just cold.  Of course it's going to be cold out - it's Toronto in February.  Come on!  One of the two elevators was out of commission while I was there, which made the lines longer than they needed to be.  The view was spectacular, although the sun glare off the lake made it hard to see New York.

The admission price is much too expensive.  Sky Tower in Auckland, N Seoul Tower, Tower of the Americas - none of them charge even half what the CN Tower charges.

It's been a while since I got to visit the CN Tower but one thing about my visit still stands out in my mind. My friend and I were standing at the base of the tower and were trying to figure out the best photo to take, then one of us decided to lie on the ground with the camera while the other stood between the camera and the top of the tower. We ended up with a great picture and before we knew it a ton of tourists were copying the idea, not sure if it was that original but it's something that I'll always remember.

The CN Tower is definitely one of the coolest landmarks I've seen and it definitely adds a lot of value to the Toronto skyline. Definitely worth examining it close-up.

I think it was well worth it to pay $$ to ride to all the levels of the tower to the top. I am glad I was with friends because the wait in the various lines is a bit tedious. Granted I was there in the summer, high tourist season.

I love the view of the lake and views of the city and ballpark.

This was by far the highlight of my trip to Toronto, and no trip here is complete without a stop here.  Go mid-week to avoid the crowds.  The views are stunning!  It's one of the worlds tallest structures, of course you have to check this out!

For those with Vertigo, stay away from the glass floor. It's actually a patch of reinforced glass that you can stand on and see below you.  I thought I was invincible that day and so I walked the small patch of glass. At first I just quickly ran across it like I was walking on fire or something, then I took a deep breath and walked back out on it to experience a fleeting sense of weightlessness, then I was simply in awe.

Have been here a number of times before - went one more time, as daughter never got to go up to the top before we left Toronto.  This time, returning as true tourists.

(You may want to also look at reviews for 360 Restaurant, at the CN Tower.)

Assuming the weather (visibility) is good, it's always a fantastic view of the city, and beyond.

A few thoughts, as a former Torontonian (and still one at heart):
1) Skip the sky pod.  For an extra $8, you go up another 33 stories or there-abouts to this small pod.  The view is not substantially better than the observation deck - and you are more likely to be in the clouds.  Save your money.
2) Go at an off time.
3) If you think you want to eat there, make a reservation at 360.  The price of dinner includes the elevator ride, and the food is reliably good (though admittedly over-priced).  The view is phenominal, and you get a great view of the city while you linger over dinner/dessert/drinks.
4) Check the weather before you go - only go if the weather is good.
5) If timing works for you - plan your 360 reservation for maybe an hour before dark - get there early, do the observation deck while it still light out, then head up for dinner and watch Toronto light up.  It's beautiful.
6) Take really warm clothes with you - if you go outside on the observation deck, it will be much colder and windier than you can possilbly imagine when you are down on the ground.
7) Take a camera.
8) Go towards the end of your trip - then try to identify where they are in the cityscape below.
9) Take some change with you if you want to look thru the pay-for-use viewers (binoculars on poles)
10) Unless you really like to spend money foolishly, skip the games/rides area.
11) CN Tower has one of the nicer tourist stores for Toronto stuff - T-shirts, maple sugar, key chains - all the regular soveneirs - and some nicer items towards the back too.  Of course, all over-priced.

Would I recommend:    It's a must do.
Would I return:  Yeah...   when I'm in Toronto with someone who's never been up to the top, I surely will hop on that elevator again.
