We came out to Montreal for a music festival called Kinetik, and the festival pre-party was at Club Passeport. I have to admit, the location was pretty stellar, because St.Denis is the street with tons of cute little cafes and restaurants, so after a night of binge drinking, you could just stagger up the street and grab some greasy grub and then pass out, (hopefully not on the street.)

The staff were awesome, they seemed to be having as much fun pouring our drinks as we were having drinking them. They had a great sense of humour as well, when one of the boys sitting at the bar passed out, they put his bill on top of his head for when he came to, so he wouldn't forget to pay. I *think* we even got a round of shots on the house? Honestly, by that point I don't even remember!

The club itself is nothing special, its pretty small, but long and narrow, with a small dancefloor at the very end. There are two doors which lead to men's and lady's bathrooms, however the signage for the bathrooms is at hip level, so when you have had one too many like me, you may find yourself in the men's room wondering why there are men in the lady's room.

The drinks were definitely flowing, however the pricing was pretty weird. I paid $11 for a double highball (rum and coke - they had NO diet pop whatsoever!) yet I could get two shots of something for $6? WTF? Am I paying $5 for ice and pop? This pricing system probably had something to do with my decline in inhibitions. Let's see, I think I'll take the two shots for $6. But then it feels weird to be hanging out without a drink in your hand, so you go get another two shots, and another, and another... and then you have to be poured into a cab to get home. Good times.
