Review from Denise S.
THE original Motown night... it all started at Absinthe. Now that I live in Toronto, they do Motown nights at Clinton's, Sneaky's, 751, but it's not quite the same. I haven't been here in a while, but it's still Wednesday Night Motown and Saturday Nights are "You Say Disco, I Say Punk!" I have never been on a Saturday but apparently it's pretty fun as well. You will probably run into the entire McMaster community here, but there are also non-students and definitely non-undergrads all just having a good time. There is a large bar/lounge on the main floor, but the dancing is in the basement and be warned, it gets HOT. Drinks are cheap and cover is $5. There's also quite a bit of seating in the basement (loooong couches) to chill between songs. Like most dance clubs, it's completely dead with NO ONE dancing until about 12 or 12:30 and then suddenly it's packed! The DJ's are awesome!! Zero pretense and always a great time here:)
