Review from Mike G.
Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of Gyms as a rule. I would rather get my exercise out in nature. Saying that as a Monday to Friday 8 to 4 worker it is not possible to get enough of exercise on this schedule. Club 16 is the cheapest Gym out there that I have found. It is also one of the most current Gyms with all the newest equipment and circuits. For women that do not like to work out with men in the room there is also a She's Fit club in every Club 16 that caters only to women. The club also offers all kinds of Daly workout classes for circuit training. All of the cardio machines have their own personal tvs as well as connections for ipods. This is just the best place to come work out if you do not have time to get outdoors. I have even met Trevor Linden at the club on one occasion!

Review from Marje B.

I move to BC to enjoy the outdoors, not a big fan of gyms in general, but when a snow storm hit us in Jan my training for a marathon was put on hold and for only 14.99 plus tax why not??? Ideally i only use this gym for its treadmills on bad weather days. but ive grown to love the gym. The She Fit side is small but works for me, i dont like to come during peak hours treadmills fill up fast, but I don't mind going to the co-ed side to use the machines there. I like the free weights and stretching area on the women side. Great location in the High Gate Mall and really clean.
One of the down side about this gym is that the fitness classes are not the greatest and if not enough people show up for them they get cancelled. But you get what you pay for. So if you like fitness classes maybe this is not the gym for you. The weight machines are somewhat limited on the women side, but great on the co-ed.
Another down side is on weekends they close at early at 5 pm.

As you can see from the pic, what a steal compared to what your regular Joe Blow at steve nash!
Just hope Trevor's making enough $ at just $16/month by the time you include taxes, to match his jersey number---yes, i know, it's lame. And tacky.
But for this Middlegate area, great to have this gym in this busy area. Two convenient entrances. -
Review from David L.
This is an excellent place to workout. As an added bonus, every machine is brand new. There are a lot of cool and useful equipment from Precor, Life Fitness and Hoist. They are the best of the best. It's great to run on a treadmill that doesn't squeak and rattle. The equipment at this gym is super clean and the washrooms are very clean too.
All of the cardio machines have touch screen display menus with built in TV, USB, and iPod connectivity. The touchscreen displays aren't the most sensitive, but they are useful for controlling the device if you're watching TV while working out.
I also like the fact that the ceiling is high and the place is really quite big (17,000 square-foot), so the air circulation is pretty good too. Also, there is a ladies only part of the gym.
There is also a lot of free parking under Highgate Village, so you don't have to worry about not finding a place to park your car.
All in all, this is a calm and relaxing gym that doesn't blast really loud music which is good enough for me.
