The prices at Clover are very very steep, to the extent I didn't even think of going there despite the salon being eco friendly. My sister though took me in for a haircut and colour as a birthday gift and all I have to say is wow!
I don't remember the name of the hairdresser I had, I think it was Jen or Jane. She was thorough and knowledgeable when we talked about lopping off my hair as she explained what would work with my face shape and lifestyle. She covered up a bad at-home dye job beautifully. My colleagues complimented the haircut and colouring. I will be saving up my $ for another visit definitely. -

I was looking for a place to get my hair dyed and cut so I started googling online. I really don't like harsh chemical and my skin is sensitive so I was pleased to see that there was an organic chemical free hair dye offered here.
I saw Janis and she took care of my colour and hair cut nicely. I didn't have to explain a lot to her, she knew what to do and what would look good. This was nice, as sometimes hairdressers can seem like they have no idea what to do or don't like how long or thick my hair is.
The appointment took about 2 1/2 hours, but it was really relaxing and nice. I felt at ease and enjoyed just hanging out and reading magazines while I waited for my colour.
I am glad that I check out the yelp reviews otherwise I would not have known if this place was good. So I wanted to return the favour and post a good review because it was definitely a good experience and I will go back.
Janis was really friendly and talkative and we had a great time. -

Clover is an environmentally conscious salon - and I find when it comes to beauty, I like to be pretty but not at the expense of the environment and animals as much as I can avoid it.
When I went in for a haircut with Liam I arrived frazzled and shaky like I just crawled from some DTES crack hovel, completely in a state of disarray and babbling about how I need a drink. I had just finished a crazy day at work combined with personal life insanity AND I was late because I forgot about my appointment until I was halfway home. I was late enough that it would have been completely justified for him to have to re-book me. And I likely came across as mildly insane.
Upon arrival I was sat down, let go all my weights (laptop, purse, jacket, body) in a cascading pile on the floor and was treated spectacularly - the salon is very calming. We discussed what I wanted done with my hair, and he said he could still fit me in - hair washing, head massage, cut and all (minus a full styling after, but it's cool - it was the end of the day and I didn't need it.)
Liam is awesome, he's a super nice guy, and my hair looks perfect. My hair can be really easy to screw up, but weeks after (and after my complementary bangs-trim) it still looks great!
I highly recommend Clover (and Liam) whether you're environmentally conscious or not. -

This hair salon is a great place to relax, snooze, chitchat, have a cup of tea, and get your hair done in the gentlest way at the same time. Jen, the owner, knows her stuff and uses great product - she is also a genius with her colouring technique - and she must give the best head massage in all 15,000 universes I've been to lately. Did I say that she is a loving person with a wicked sense of humour and the cutest dimples? If I was a man I'd probably fall in love with her...
The music at Clover is always pleasant, unobtrusive, cool, and soft - sometimes so infectious you wanna jump up from your chair and dance. That doesn't fly so well because you may have aluminum foil and what not stuck to your pretty head....
The room is spacious and the people are simply nice. Did I mention my canine friend Joseph...? Used to try to come in when Joseph was there as well --- he is something else, that little dog....but elaborating on Joseph, well, this would be another story. He loves that place too, and that place (speak everyone in it) loves Joseph. And Joseph loves that they love him....what a flirt.
If you're in Vancouver and need your hair cut, coloured or whatever - go to this earth kind hair salon - your hair will feel like you've been to a magical hair spa, bouncy, refreshed, energized, replenished in every way - and you will look great. I dare to promise you that. And no, I'm neither related to anyone there nor do I get any freebies - in fact, nobody there knows I'm writing this review. I'm recommending it because it's a precious little place. Enjoy! -

Clover is an amazing Salon, I totally recommend the staff and pretty much every darn thing about the beautiful chillin place :) They truly make it an amazingly laidback experience. Jenn is the most creative hair tech in the world, and Michael can make me look beautiful on my worst most hung over days. Can't say enough about Crimson & Clover!
