Brrrrrr.... it's cold enough here to start thinking about warm, cozy p.j.'s again.
And people keep telling me we're going to have an Indian Summer this year (...is that even politically correct?!) No Native American summer I've ever experienced included frost cover and 6 degree temperature peaks in September!
So if you're chilly willy sleeping in the buck or your summer slinky slights already you will want to visit Cloud Nine Pajamas for the most important investment you will make this winter.
They have the coziest, hippest pee-jays here...you may even find the same designer pair worn by your favorite Hollywood star ... if that's your thing ... there are tons of colours and patterns to choose from and slippers and socks and robes to match!
O.K. the price of premium fabrics are a little steep but you are, after all, wearing them next to your skin for 6 to 8 hours a night ... so treat yourself to a little heaven on Cloud 9 ... cause these are the pajamas that dreams are made of.

It can be hard to find comfortable AND flattering nightwear. Big shapeless shifts can be comfortable, but are so far off the sexy scale that you feel like a comfortable frump.
Fortunately we have Cloud 9. I wandered in when exploring High Street on a lazy afternoon, and was glad that I did. I found a great selection of cute saucy combinations, and classy comfort that draped beautifully. Interesting fabrics, including bamboo are available. I didn't see any any over the top sexy lingerie, but saw a few beautiful night gowns for a trousseau fit for a romantic night.
It is not cheap, but isn't it worth it to be comfortable and feel pretty? -

I ended up at Cloud Nine PJs since my less than hospitable experience at Vi's for Pies on August 26th (those of you who read what happened know to that which I am referring)....so, alas, I didn't end up attending the Yelp Event, however, in getting to my evening destination early (about which I will write too), I took a stroll around the shops at High Street. First, who in their right mind, on a lovely summer evening (Friday no less) closes at between 5:30-6pm when there are folks around and about walking?? This is what happened when I got to this area, save Cloud Nine which closes at 7pm. So, with time to kill before my dinner date was to arrive, I peeked in to see what was new, and yes, what was on sale :-]
I have shopped here before when they were at 149th & 104th and know they have nice things to consider.
On this evening, with the great sale they were having and being open, I couldn't do anything except buy a nice new pair of summer 'jams :-]
As always, the owners (and on this evening, it was her daughter working) were personable and easy.
They have a reasonably sized selection of styles and materials too for their 'jams (and carry "Hanky Panky" underwear too)--even saw pi's for "Cinco de Mayo" :-]!!
So, again, thank goodness I made it to my destination area early..... -

When it snows in Edmonton, most people I know just want to hibernate. As far as I am concerned, a crucial part of hibernation is Pajamas! We received our first snowfall early this year and I was feeling especially cold on Tuesday, so I wandered into Cloud 9 Pajamas hoping to find a great housecoat or cozy pajamas. I was not disappointed! They have everything from flannel to silk to warm housecoats and adult sized onesies! I was tempted to get the giraffe print onesie, but afraid of my manfriend's reaction, I decided instead on a Zebra print housecoat. I couldn't be happier with it! Its cozy, fuzzy, and even has a hood! This store is perfect for a cozy gift for a woman or man in your life. They have men's traditional shirt pajamas as well as every flavor of women's and some children's sized robes as well. They also have very nicely smelling bath products which would be a nice start to a winter evening.
If you are able to make it, they are having a wine and cheese night and sale on October 21, 2009. This would be a great first visit to this store! -

This is a lovely little store located on Stony Plain Road. It is equally lovely on the inside as it is on the outside. Here you can find hundreds of pajamas and sleepwear that are sure to suite eveybody's needs. Whether you are looking for fleece pajamas to keep you warm during winter months or a sexy nigh gowns just like the ones those fabulous Park Avenue women wear in the movies - Cloud Nine has got them all! Some of the brands represented are Elle Macpherson, Vera Wang and Betsey Johnson. The materials range from polyester to cotton and bamboo. Unfortunatelly, I couldn't locate any silk sleepwear. All the items in the store come with hefty price tags but they do look like good quality pieces that will last a long time. There is a sales section.
In addition to pajamas, Cloud Nine carries robes, slippers, skin care items and socks - basically everything to look and fee like a goddess when you get into the bed at night.
