Review from Steve M.
Just recently, I came home to discover that my basement was flooded and that one of the water pipes in my home had burst. I called around to several plumbers and the Clearview was the first company that was able to have an emergency crew at my home within 2 hours.
These guys did a great job, they came in and accessed the situation and provided my with a guaranteed fixed price estimate of what it would cost to fix the situation.
Their plumbers were very friendly and professional, they explained the situation and provided me with different options. They were very neat and tidy in that they had drop clothes that they laid out around the work area and they wore shoe covers to prevent tracking of dirt through the home.
Unfortunately, it was an emergency situation and I didn't have enough time to get several quotes and compare their prices to other companies. After the fact, I did research on the internet at other reviews, and discovered that they are higher priced. As well, I was talking to my parents that had replaced their Hot Water Tank a few months earlier, and the price they paid was about 40% cheaper than what I paid to get my Hot Water Tank replaced. I guess this is one of the ways that they can afford to offer fixed price guarantees on their estimates.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Clearview Plumbing to handle any plumbing situation that you may have. They may be a little more expensive that some of the other companies out there, but you will feel much better knowing that you have someone fixing your problem that knows what they are doing,Comment from Kyle L. of ClearView Plumbing & Heating 2/1/2012

Review from Lauren H.
We had a stubborn kitchen sink clog that even the handy man of the house was having a hard time with. So we called ClearView and set up an appointment for the next day. They gave us a pretty big window of when the plumber would be by (11-4). Not the most convenient but my partner had the day off so it was okay.
The plumber ended up arriving at 11 which was nice (no waiting around!). It kind of went downhill from there. While he was assessing the situation (still hadn't figured out the problem) he started to try to sell some kind of Plumbing Club they have to my boyfriend-not sure what it is but if we are going to enrol in a loyalty program of some sort you might want to make us loyal, happy customers first. We explained everything we had done to unclog the drain and the plumber announced with certainty that the clog was further down the pipes a few feet, behind our fridge. He quoted $500 to remove and replace all the pipe from the sink, throughout the kitchen.
My boyfriend decided that he could remove the bad section (rather than all the pipe) himself and replace it so he let the plumber know thanks but no thanks. The plumber again tried to sell the loyalty program? We paid him his "just for showing up" fee ($60) thinking that would make him leave and he kept talking, about the club, about plumbing, about everything he felt like chatting about. It was a little awkward.
In the end, the issue with our sink wasn't even where the plumber thought it was and we would have spend $500 right before Christmas on new plumbing we didn't need and would have still had the clog.Comment from Kyle L. of ClearView Plumbing & Heating 2/1/2012

Review from Jenny P.

Hi Kyle
Actually that is not the case. My friend installed the switch board just fine, and then I had an experienced person come out and do another diagnostic to tell me it was actually the motor, which we thought even with out your EXPERTISE! He was nice enough to fix it for us for free, and get us the part at cost for $400 because he felt bad for us. So I spent $300 on that switch board that was not needed and I spent $170 to have you guys come out and diagnose it. I'm not sure exactly what I paid you for regardless of who fixed it? If you are willing to refund my $170 I would be more then happy to write a comment that paints a better picture of Clearview; however since I just got heat today and have not had any since the Monday before last, and now I am out $470 I didn't need to spend and didn't have to spend because of Clearview's diagnosis. I am obviously a very un-happy costumer!1 Previous Review: Show all »

History
Established in 1996
Hi, I'm Kyle Lumsden. In 1996, when my partner and I started ClearView, we just had one truck and our office was in the basement. We knew that every customer mattered, so we tried to treat customers the way we would want to be treated.
Today we've grown to 9 trucks and over 12 employees. And we've done it by never forgetting that every customer matters.
If you have any plumbing, drain cleaning, heating or air conditioning need, I hope you'll give us a call. You're going to love our service; I personally guarantee it.
Meet the Business Owner: Kyle L.
When I was almost grown, a buddy asked me to help him out for a day on a plumbing job. When I got home, my Dad said, "How did it go?" I said it went fine. He said, "That's a good job, you should do that for a living."
Before long, I was doing my apprenticeship in construction plumbing. But I liked meeting people and really wanted to work in a service industry. In addition, I had been inspired by reading books like Customers for Life and The Marriott Way.
