A lovely cafe nestled at one end of the St. John's downtown.   Don't let its size fool you, they can pack a whole lot of people into their well organised space, and the service is phenomenal. If you are super lucky, you'll have seat with a view.  If not, you'll be out of there quick enough to enjoy the real thing.   They also have patio seating out back for when the weather cooperates.

They list toutons as being part of their breakfast menu, but don't despair; they will cook you up an order any time of the day.    My honey had not tried  Newfie toutons before and was anxious to do so.   The waiter brought molasses and not syrup with the comment to my guy: "You look like a molasses type of guy".   Not sure how he knew, but he was right.

Everything here seems to be delicious.

    FOUR STAR CAFE.

Ah, first to review this place.

I went here after work one afternoon.  A lot of places close after lunch and open again for dinner, but this place seems to stay open all day- good thing.

Service was good, atmosphere is cafe-like.  Quiet.  There is a view of the harbor on one side of the seating area, but otherwise the view is the back of a building.

Food was good.  I had Fish and Brewis, first time to have this dish in Newfoundland.  It was good, but I would be a bad judge since I have nothing to compare it to.  I did love it though.

Parking was easy.  The location is out of the city center, which is a plus...not so busy.
