I've been staying at the Ramada hotel this week, and dined at the hotel's restaurant several times.
Extensive breakfast menu and I haven't been disappointed. Service is good and fast, bottomless coffee, and good food. -

We stayed at the Ramada last week, en route from Vancouver to the Columbia Valley. The hotel was a Priceline gamble, and we won't be back. But that's for another review, if I get to it.
We'd had a long day and were hungry so headed up to the City View Grill in the hotel for dinner. The service was good, and the view from the deck is nice too. It's unlikely the deck construction would win Mike Holmes' approval (everyone should avoid leaning against the railing, at all costs) and apparently it's one of the last remaining decks in Kamloops that allows smokers, but I digress.
They were very accommodating with my food requests (this Dukan diet thing is a bit tricky at times) and my meal was fine. But, really, how can you go wrong with grilled chicken and a green salad? Hootie had the $8 steak sandwich special and, surprisingly, it was OK according to him. The dry ribs he ordered, however, were gross. And apparently they are a local favourite. Not sure why, but when we told the server what we thought of them, she was great and took them off the bill without us even asking.
So, all things considered, our experience was fine. But nothing to write home about, and we certainly won't be back to stay or dine. Nor would we recommend the place to anyone else.
