i've been seeing cathy for a while as my physio and she is great. every time i leave, my back feels a million times better, and she's just an awesome person on top of being a great physiotherapist. she gives me a ton of exercises to do as "homework", which really help out.

location is awesome (especially for me since i work right across the street) but it's conveniently located by the skytrain stations/bus loops.

the receptionists are always so nice too, and always make you feel welcome.

    Hello!

I am extremely pleased with the treatment and friendliness of the City Sports & Physiotherapy Clinic.  I have a thumb injury that was not healing properly and was hurting all the time.  I had been to numerous therapists even specialty clinics!!  Finally my cousin had referred me to them and luckily I was enroute to a functioning thumb.  My therapist, Lindsay, uses all the best, top notch equipment on my thumb, along with useful home therapy treatments.  She also uses the time effectively so I always feel like I'm getting my monies worth.

fyi - good place to go!  If you go, I'd recommend Lindsay Mcleod or Cathy Yackness!!  Very nice!!

I have been suffering for months from pain in my neck that's worked its way through my shoulder and subsequently started sending weird sensations through my left arm.  I went to massage therapy and physio elsewhere with limited success. I needed to find a physio clinic more convenient to get to from the office.

A co-worker suggested seeing Duane Brousmiche at this clinic as it's close to the Canada Line which is easy to get to from my Yaletown office.  Duane was great.  He talked a lot to me about what was going on with my body and brought out the model of the spine and showed me.  He used IMS on me with some massage in areas that were too close to the lung.  He also used a heating pad.

IMS is pretty weird but it seems to have helped already and I'll go back for more.  The pain of the needles is tolerable even on the worst of my muscles.  He gave me some stretches to do between sessions and figures it'll take about a month to fix me up.  I appreciated the time he took to assess my situation.  He was more thorough than the other physios I'd been to.
