Review from Dil F.
Amazing lamb lollipops, decent NY strip steak, good beer list, service is ok.
The cooks here prepared our order of lamb lollipops perfectly - i mean, dead on. Full of flavorful juice, every tender morsel excited the face into a winsome smile. The NY strip steak was also as flavorful as always. Not the greatest steak I've ever had, but certainly nothing to frown on. Again, the cooks deserve another high-five.
The coleslaw was sugary but otherwise bland, the asparagus was also kind of bland, and the mashed potatoes were tasty but kind of gummy (this is a weird texture that I run across in restaurants periodically... don't really understand what causes it but I don't care for it).
Beer list was excellent. Service was really inattentive at first (esp. getting menus, and then getting our order... kind of brutal), but seemed to try to correct that later on. It was a valiant effort that was noted, but didn't save the weak-sauce beginnings.
I'd go back for the lamb. Delish... -

Came again and was very disappointed. It took an hour to get our meals. The lamb was very fatty this time. The stuffed Salmon with seafood (was hard to find the seafood). The baked potatoes were hard. I asked the waiter if they were understaffed. He said no. I then asked if he went to Detroit to get our meals. He said they had just seated a party of 30.

Review from Cheryl B.
Our first afternoon in Windsor we found that the area was teeming with small bars, restaurants offering all sorts of culinary delights and every turn of the corner let us know we just needed to taste our way through the city. Our first stop was the City Beer Market.
We entered the bar area around 4 in the afternoon and the place wasn't buzz'n yet. Met Tom, the manager, gave me a tour of what was on tap and there were quite a few choices from Belgins to Stouts, to American brews....the choice for me was Leffe Brune.
The story went something like this...monks used to toil over their brew kettles creating wonderfully hearty and strong beers from ancient brewing recipes handed down over the centuries. There are 6 Belgian Trappist monasteries that brew their ales to this day. However, more so in the modern age, the monastic style of brewing has been emulated by secular brewers in an effort to carry on this tradition. The abbey ale known as Leffe Brune is the foundation of my beverage of choice and I was not disappointed.
The beer was dark amber, apple overtones, a bit of citrus and even some spice-cinnamon I think. The sweetness is reminiscent of caramel and makes each sip smooth and rich. I will warn you this beer weighs in a 6.5% alcohol...so warm up on a cool afternoon, but one was good for me.
We sampled an appetizer of red pepper humus and a cheddar spread served with warm flatbread that was buttery and crisp along the edges. Nice treat!
The servers were pleasant and we enjoyed our time at City Beer Market! -

Windsor, ON
My fiance and I came in for a low key birthday dinner and had a really good time. The food had just the right seasoning and their drinks were delicious!
