Review from Marie F.
After months of ignoring the obvious, I realized the remnants of red and multi layers of shit brown in my hair were no longer cute. I came to the conclusion that my hair needed to be dyed... one colour!
I recently ran into an acquaintance from college who I found out is a part owner of a salon in the Danforth. Since I have no loyalty to hair salons and wanted try a new place I booked an appointment t see her that week.
Even though this location is super far from my place, it is conveniently located next to Chester station. I went up to the second floor and was greeted by the friendliest assistant I had even encountered. She brought me tea and showed me to my seat.
Mandye (the hair dresser) went over colour options with me and suggested a couple different things she thought would work well. Their selection of trashy tabloid magazines was impressive and faster than I could say "what other ho did Jesse James sleep with?!" I was done and ready for my bang trim.
In the end the service was good, my colour is great and as a bonus there is an AMAZING shoe shop (Balisi) a few doors down.Listed in: I feel pretty... oh so pretty…

Review from Zoe R.
Had a wagjag coupon for $90 worth of services, so went in for partial lowlights. Consultation part was good. Max, was also good at his job - the results have been appreciated.
Bonus fun and enjoyable part was Kel, the shampooist. A very pleasant person to be around. Perhaps the best part of my visit, was probably when she massaged my scalp so wonderfully with that peppermint hair product. *drool* I wonder if we can get our scalp massaged like that, all day long???
I only wished that I was offered water, I had to ask for it, twice.
(The last hair salon that I went to was Evoke (uptown). They spoiled me w/ juicy mixes (cranberry with grapefruit), and happened to be sharing some rich chocolate cake with all clients that day).
Forgiveable, though.
Also, I would have preferred the assortment of magazines to be closer to me. I sat in my chair while the colour set, blah'd and bored. I texted, but in the end I was still bored and too physically tired from all my other errands that day to bother getting up and picking some mags up. I surely would have looked at them, were a few brought over.
Overall, it was a good experience. I'd be open to going again, but would be willing to pay a bit more for more service (drinks).
Kel is a great and personable shampooist, I'd love to go back just for a shampoo and scalp massage!
