A delightful and enlightened  human being who truly cares about your well-being and health!. Barb's mission is no other than to make the unhealthy healthier, and as pain-free as possible.  She truly listens to you and to your concerns, and will make sure that your needs are being met.

Treatment wise, she is rather painless, and will often incorporate Cranio-sacral techniques and other soft tissue manipulations in order to treat effectively and as painlessly as possible. Highly recommended is you are not a big fan of big 'crunching' sounds when being treated ( like your's truly.. aka biggest 'wuss' ever!!)

On a finishing note, as far a  refreshing and genuinely sweet receptionists, chiro-aids are concerned.. you would be hard pressed to find any better than Eva, who is the main attendant there.

    I heart CFL  :)

    THIS IS MY LOCAL CHIROPRACTOR.

I know there's chiro naysayers out there, so if that's you click away from this review. I do believe in the practice of chiropractic for a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Barb Smith is the doctor at this establishment. I've been coming here on and off for over 8 years and have been thoroughly satisfied with their services. The office is open concept and the atmosphere natural and friendly. Leslie is usually the attendant you meet upon arrival and she's a real treat as well.

Dr. Barb will tailor the service to your specific needs. For instance, I prefer not to have manual neck manipulations, so she uses activator only in that area. Dr. Barb also monitors my knees and ankles for wear & tear from my active joint-cracking lifestyle. She's also got a wealth of knowledge in homeopathic products and nutrition, so don't hesitate to seek her expertise on those fronts if you employ her service.

Regular treatments are $40, so hence the three-star review, however I think that may be close to the current industry standard.

History

Established in 1992

Dr. Barbara Smith literally fell into chiropractic as her chosen career.

At age of 9, Barbara decided that she wanted to be a figure skater.  At only seventeen, her dreams were realized when she earned a role in the Ice Capades.

Tragically, Barbara suffered a major fall during one of her shows.  While performing a dramatic maneuver forty feet in the air, her safety harness broke and she plummeted to the unforgiving ice below.  Thus, her skating career was prematurely terminated.

Fortunately, Barbara's recuperation and reflection period included an excellent series of chiropractic adjustments which helped her to make a complete physical recovery.

And so, moved by her experiences and sheer determination, the twenty-three-year-old Barbara packed her bags and left for Dalhousie with the long-term plan of becoming a chiropractor in order to help others just as she had been helped.  It was seven years that later she received her license to practice from the CMCC.
