May have to come back here with my family to get a big dinner from the Cantonese menu.. went for a late night snack here and just ordered some Western food.. greasy greasy and a little pricey for Chinese...

Fast service. Food was just okay and definitely not the best in the city. I would like to try some of the items off the Cantonese menu so I guess I'll have to bring a translator next time.

A small, family-owned restaurant on Stony Plain Road that I have passed by over the years more times than I can keep track of. Chin Kee has a great selection of traditional Chinese dishes as well as all the favourites a Western patron could want. We had beef fried rice and lemon chicken. The rice was full of huge pieces of beef, lots of egg, and a generally large portion. Our lemon chicken was amongst the best we've ever had. Deep fried in a rich sauce that was just sweet enough and definitely not bitter, it was the prefect size for sharing. I had to have an onion cake to start my meal - although I was surprised I was not given any hot sauce, it was still fantastic, not greasy, and full of onion. My companion had an egg roll which was also large, filled, and served with sweet and sour sauce. Overall we left full and happy, and determined to visit again.

Bottom line, this place is THE BOMB if you can read/speak Chinese. Their Cantonese food is some of the best I've had outside of Asia. Be warned though, the staff doesn't speak english and all the good stuff is written in Chinese.
