I have to agree with the recent reviews on this site. I did not know this place existed, and from the front of this place I did not know they served bubble tea and Taiwanese beef noodle.

This is your urban style of the above, with one more twist, they have a liquor license, and just looking over the menu, they have alcoholic bubble tea, and other cocktails.

It is a very hip environment, and plays some good music, not the normal chinese music that you are expecting in places like this. There is also a VIP card that gets you 10% off, and if you order to take out you also get 10%.

There is tons of parking on Kingsway, and just for your knowledge, the meters are only up to 6pm, unlike Vancouver (10PM)! A new twist to the location, I will definately be coming back to "chill" here, as I needed a different joint to hang out in.

There was a grand opening special so I decided to go in. 50% of bubble tea is such a good deal! They even have a selection of alcoholic bubble tea - kind of trippy for me.

Bubble tea was mediocre? Lots of powder to make such a small drink. Pearls were decent.

Food - I ordered tomato beef on rice - nothing about my dish had anything to do with tomatoes. The sauce didn't even taste like tomatoes! What's with the name?!  They put too much sauce for my liking.

Atmosphere - pretty nice and trendy. Looks more like a night club lounge.

Parking - accessible on the streets

Overall, this place is decent. HOWEVER...if it wasn't for the 50% bubble tea, I would say this place is a no return.

    Alcoholic bubble tea!!!

Finally, a place that serves bubble tea with alcohol! My friends and I have talked about this idea forever, and finally, someone has done it! This place is in the same group as the Estea in Richmond and Beefy Beef Noodle House on Main Street.

Black and red themed interior, with many tables and a couple of booths. There was a bit of a wait, and then we were seated at a table by the bar.

Menu-they call their dishes 'Tapas', and then you have the option of adding rice, noodles, beef noodles, and beef on rice. There's different choices of food than other BBT places. Ahi tuna wrap, smoked salmon rollies...they have an interesting mix of food here.

We stuck to the 'safe' dishes and got a pineapple shrimp and Taiwanese chicken nuggets. Also ordered 2 orders of rice.

Chicken nuggets came with a wasabi honey mustard. Pieces were a little small. I've had better. The pineapple shrimp was good, a little too sour with the pineapple, but it was a good complement to the rice.

Drinks-a BBT menu, beer, wine, and a Asian inspired cocktail menu as well as alcoholic BBT. I got the Cointreau Honey-Cointreau & Rum blended with honey yogurt in a slush and my friend got the Feeney's Grey-Irish Cream & Earl Grey tea. These came in a really large mug, and they were delicious!! I like mine because it actually reminded me of the 'Milk & Honey' cocktail at Keefer Bar...

Toonie Tuesdays specials-calamari for $2.22..and live music nights on Wednesdays.

Service was a little slow at first, but later on they had more people working. Food is ok, but I would definitely come back for the drinks!!

Finally, a great place to sit in for bubbletea and food! This place will now be the new hangout spot for that. I am incredibly glad I came here to try this place.

To start off, the place seemed to be pretty busy already when we came in at about 9pm on a Friday night, especially since it's new. The server was super nice, came to greet me and asked how many were in my party and even asked me which area I would prefer to sit in and gave me an estimate wait time. She came back as soon as she cleared the table and set me up with menus, and let me know I'll be getting another server for the rest of the night to help me out. Our server gave us enough time to order and were very patient even though we took awhile. Very attentive and actually smiles!

I ordered the usual taro milk tea (no pearls) and a tofu hot pot. Friends ordered a shrimp and pineapple appy, calamari (no dipping sauce though), green apple calpis slush, and matcha ice cream with pearls. My order came without rice, but the server asked me if I wanted it afterwards, very nice (didn't charge me extra for it either). I really liked my bubbletea, so did my friends. They said their food was good, but the pineapples didn't really go well with the shrimp, and they found their appy small portioned. But I thought all our drinks were great.

The server came back a couple of times to check on us, not in an interruptive way though. The tofu pot was a deal, only 7 bucks and I found it pretty good and nicely presented too. The bubbleteas are at the same price of Estea (4-5 dollars) but were well worth it.

The entire place looks great. It's dimly lighted, lots of red, modern, clean, sleek, very comfy seats. They have bigger tables for bigger parties. They didn't rush us at all and the rest of the staff were very friendly as well. I will DEFINITELY be back. They have evaluations that you can do when they give you your bill. The only thing I would ask to be changed is that they expand a bit more on the bubbletea menu, add a couple of specials instead of the usual drinks (they do have alcoholic bubbletea though!).

Thanks Chill, you put Estea and their incredibly terrible service to shame! Recommended for sure!

The beef noodle soup was awesome, and the idea for alcoholic bbt is cool, but on a Friday night, TOTAL sausage fest. If you're a good looking girl, looking for free drinks. Come here.

Value: Horrible, Food: Worse, Service: WORST!

Came here with co-workers to try out this new restaurant. Prior to arrival, I have heard bad things about this restaurant that it was bad AND expensive but I came here because the group wanted to try it. After my visit, I definitely agree and I have to add that this would have the WORST service ever. I will NEVER return.

First we waited about 20 minutes to order. There were only 2 waitress in the whole restaurant and 1 person at the drinks bar. You usually see double/triple of that number at normal bubble tea restaurants. I wonder if they were all CHILLing in the kitchen? The day wasn't even busy...I think there were only maximum 4-5 occupied tables in the restaurant.

Then the food finally came. Two people ordered the black pepper beef combo. Man, it was really gross. First it was lukewarm and it was obviously microwaved because the meat wasn't cooked thoroughly and it was very "chewy". The rice looked like it was dumped on the plate. I ordered what's supposed to be "matcha (green tea) ice cream slush" and I saw it sitting on the drinks counter for at least 15 minutes because no one went to get the drinks to our table. When I tasted it, it was gross too because it had no green tea taste, and obviously no ice cream because it was very icy/chunky and it tasted like it was blended with skim milk and water along with the ice. When I got the drink it was already separated, and to make the matter even worse, it had chunks of black, unknown pieces which could be from other drinks or the blender. It tells me that they don't clean their blenders very well. So when I asked for a re-make, I had to wait 20 more minutes and when I saw the new drink sitting on the counter, I really wanted to walk up to the drinks bar and just get it myself instead of waiting the drinks to taste separated again. It was also about 5 dollars including the 10% discount. I can imagine how much profits they are making by selling water slush for 5 dollars...maybe that's where they get the money to pay for the nice decor.

Other people's food was also very horrible. The 3-cup chicken was not made properly as it doesn't taste like how it should. It tasted like they just put all the ingredients and the chicken in a pot and just boiled it. Again, it was lukewarm. Lastly the instant soup came, again it was horrible and cold too. One "combo" of instant salad, soup plus very horrible microwaved food for more than 10 dollars.

And then we waited another 20 minutes to pay the bill. We saw a group of 6 that waited 20+ minutes and just left because they never got a server to take their order.

Unless you want to waste your money and get in a very upset+bad mood, do. not. ever. come. here. Oh, and the good reviews are probably submitted by their employees or share holders...-shakes head-
