I have only had take out desserts from here, so this review is purely based on those experiences and is highly recommended!

Real desserts - no edible oil product here!  The cakes are awesome, very delicious, moist and home made tasting.  We ordered a black forest cake for a birthday celebration and the cake was phenomenal, so deliciously perfect.  Just the right amount of sweetness, so well balanced.

Chiffon is a rare gem on the west side. The baked goods are among the best this city has to offer. The passion the owner has for creating these decadent morsels shines through in her amazing confections. The only unfortunate thing is not being able to decide what to sample today ;-)

I have yet to be disappointed by any choice and even the gluten-free cookie was both satisfying and delicious. The variations of fresh fruit pavlova are good enough to bring home for special dinner guests and the croissant bread pudding is as comforting as comfort food gets.

Everything both sweet and savoury, except the bread that is delivered daily, is made in house from scratch - the daily soups are clear proof of this.

I work nearby and let's say that my co-workers and I frequent this little eatery every day.

I should also mention that Chiffon offers catering and one can order full-size delights, of which I have ordered a Black Forest Cake that our office is still talking about 6 months later.

Yes, I know, I have no business going into anything called a 'patisserie' and yes, the pastries looked awesome. In another life with out gluten intolerance I would have been in heaven!
I asked for some egg salad on lettuce and they were kind enough to oblige. It was pretty good egg salad!

The place is cute inside and there's an outside table or two to grab some desperately needed rays.
Also, they serve Doi Chaang coffee. I didn't have any but it's good to note. This coffee is developing a respectable reputation. I would recommend the cafe for a quick, light lunch, coffee and one of those delectable pastries.

Favorite place in the neighbourhood....I am literally in here every weekday.  Best chai tea in the area (beats Waves, 9th Ave and Starbucks easily).  Great soups, fresh sandwiches, creative salads and delicious pastries.  Top notch service.  Honestly wish they were open for dinner as I would love more of my friends to try this place.

I work near here and have stopped in a couple of times for a late afternoon sugar rush. Every cookie I've had from here has been incredible. The oatmeal chocolate chip is thick and lacks the overuse of butter that most bakeries use to keep their cookies soft. Rather, these are just insanely fresh.

Today my sister and I stopped in and split a chocolate peanut butter cupcake, which was shockingly even better than it sounded. The cupcake was traditional chocolate, not too heavy, nor dry, and the icing tasted exactly like the filling of a Reese cup, only whipped into fluffy submission. Sprinkled lightly on top were finely crushed peanuts and a drizzle of dark chocolate. I'm not doing it justice by trying to describe it. Do yourself a favour and put this in your face. Right now.

I'm giving this place a 4, only because I have yet to try their paninis, and I'm a fussy sammich eater. I'll report back post-sammich.

OH, and one last thing... call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure I spotted a bacon chocolate chip cookie in there 2 weeks ago. They weren't there today, and I wouldn't have tried it anyway (vegetarian), but that's got to make this the coolest, most internet-meme friendly bakery in the whole city.

[Edit] Not only have I officially confirmed that the bacon cookie exists (and was sampled by my friend Graeme, who said, "I think they actually make this thing with bacon grease... in a good way!"), but today they had bacon cupcakes for sale. Chocolate cupcakes with a big pile of bacon on top. I should add that the desserts all seem to be under $4 here. Holy crap I love this place.

After watching this location change hands numerous times over the past few years (as Inspiring Grounds) I'm happy to see something go in here that has some staying power.

This new approach is definitely welcome and I often find myself lured inside to try out their special sandwich of the day.  It usually sounds yummy and ends up tasting yummy.

The accompanying soups and salads are very good as well (the soups are made from scratch).

Definitely check out Chiffon if you're in the neighbourhood and feel like a sandwich for lunch.

This place is three doors down from my work. I have tried many of their fabulous creations. They are quick, and friendly and always on point. I love their desserts, but my fave meals are the terriyaki salmon on rice, pad thai salad, turkey and pear with brie panini, and the clubhouse sandwich. Their french onion and split pea and ham soups are to die for as well.
it gets a little pricey if you eat there too much but the quality of the food is worth it!

Great sandwiches (the clubhouse is my favorite), pretty good soups and salads as well.  Everything tastes fresh and fairly healthy.  Their desserts look fantastic, but they are on the fancier side and I'm more of a simple dessert person, so I haven't tried them.  The staff are pleasant and quick.

They are ALWAYS packed at lunchtime so it seems like many other people feel positively about them -- I just wish that they stayed open later than 5PM.

Excellent food.  Ambiance not reflective of the food.  5 star food.  Coffee is getting much better, using Intelligencia coffee now from Chicago.  I always go the specials.

Love this little haven of delicious baked goods. I haven't tried any of the non-desserts yet, cuz that is how I roll, but I've loved the desserts that I've tried. I can rave about the cheesecake brownie (yes, such a heavenly combination exists) and the brownie cookie (i know, i like brownies, ok?), and the smores cookie. I was less of a fan of the peanut butter and jelly cookie (it was a bit drier in texture than the others). But on whole, I would go here everyday if I could. Wish they were open until after 5 PM. (Also slightly agitated that I phoned them on 3 different occasions to find out their hours and there was no answering machine message with basic info, and no one called me back.) Sometimes a girl just needs a cookie at 7 PM, eh?
