Ordered some late night delivery from this place once. Although the pizza was really thick, it was all dough and had the same amount of topping as a regular pizza definitely not deep dish. Still good pizza, with a great crust.
Gains a point for being open really late. -

The name is a misnomer - this is nothing like Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. The crust is essentially standard delivery pizza crust, but thicker. It's not terrible, but it's not worth waiting over an hour for delivery from. And I don't have drunken cravings for it the way I did for Blondie's or Fat Slice when I went to school in Berkeley.
Also, their selection of toppings is slim compared to other pizza places around town. I don't think they offer anything green as a topping other than green peppers. -

This pizza is pretty good when you're in the mood for a quick cheap bite. For me, it's just greasy enough when I'm in a high-cal mood. I also love that the toppings go all the way to the edge.
It's $2.50 a slice but they only take debit for $5.00 and over and credit for $10.00 and over. -

I seriously love Chicago Deep Dish, and maybe it's because I only ever eat it when I'm craving some seriously greasy pizza, but if that's what you're looking for, it's good stuff.
You know what you're getting at this dive-y little spot just off Whyte. Just pizza, very greasy, and very cheesy. Nothing fancy, just something to satisfy you in the moment. Mama mia!Listed in: Four-Stars, On the cheap, Sweatpants, Pizza

I went to Chicago Deep Dish a few months ago after I was told that "Chicago deep dish pizza is the best type of pizza". When you walk into the place it kind of looked like some sort of a dive on the side of a truck stop. I decided to get a slice of pepperoni pizza and sit in. The girl who served us seemed disinterested in even being there and acted confused when we wanted a menu to take home.
The pizza itself was greasy (and not in that "good, pizza grease" kind of way)and it gave me an instant gut ache. I'm thinking it was yesterdays left overs microwaved. I don't know, this place seems to have good reviews but maybe only if you call and order a pizza will it be worth it...let's just say I won't be giving them a second chance when there's so many other pizza joints to choose from. -

It's a simple fact. If you're going to stop in and get a slice of 'za then don't expect much. It's fast, it's cheap, and it's not that great. Good for absorbing alcohol after you've had more than a few drinks down on Whyte Ave, but that's about it.
But if you're looking for some amazing deep dish pizza to order in for you and your friends, you will love ordering from here! It's always about an hour, it's a bit more expensive than some of their competitors, and it tastes amazing! Their sauce is truly superb!
I always get the No. 6 (pepperoni, salami, and back bacon) with jalapenos. It's spicy and delicious! Of course, any of their other selections that suit your fancy I'm sure will be quite pleasing to your taste buds. If you like a pizza with a really thick crust then this is the place to order from! -

Chicago lots of crust pizza should be the name of this place. Had about one layer of cheese and toppings on this pizza the rest was 2 inch crust. Deep dish is supposed to be me cutting into thick layers of cheese and toppings for a huge cheesy mess.
Also the pepperoni on the pizza was slices of lunch meat under the cheese. The pizza was very big and very heavy though, so if you don't mind chewing on crust all night , and can stomach the lunch meat you will get filled up.
They also have a money back guarantee if you only eat 1 slice they will refund your money, which if you ordered the pepperoni and see what I'm talking about you might wanna take advantage on.
Very disappointing. Over half the pizza went in the dumpster. -

So Ive moved and the traditional thing to do is order pizza
this place is very close and ive heard good things...
I love the pizza it had a thick crust real mozza on it and the slices of ham on my pizza were huge!! Yummm and the pizza was so filling a few slices and I was stuffed I cant stop ordering... takes a while for them to get to me ... odd since i live seriously live within 6-7 blocks,
for a small ham and pineapple is 16$ dilivered... I agree its no funky pickle... but. its really awsome!!! -

Let me start by saying: I used to think this place was really awesome. Not the greatest pizza on the planet, but a decent amount of bang for your buck. I always went in and got a large with no cheese on half, as I am lactose intolerant, but my boyfriend is not ;).
Usually, no problem. It'll spill over just a tad and I just don't eat whatever it touches. One particular time we went into the one of Whyte Ave and the gentleman behind the counter even said, "You don't have to worry! My son is lactose intolerant, so I know where you're coming from!" It felt reassuring. Keyword being: felt. Pizza arrives after half an hour, I take a look at it, and 3/4 of the pizza has cheese on it. I asked and, after looking puzzled for several minutes, standing there saying nothing... they said there isn't much they can do because it spills over (even though I've never had that problem any other time I've gone there). The best they could do was refund my money.
Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. -

Located in Old Strathcona, right off Whyte, Chicago Deep Dish is the biggest, thickest and cheesiest pizza I've ever eaten. I know people who think it's got too much of everything on it, but I think you can't beat it, especially because you can go there and grab a slice for $2.50 like you can do in bigger cities like Toronto. They always have some hot pie pieces ready to serve up. You can dine in and pull up a stool to their window bar and nosh, or take it out on a sleeve of paper.
In fact, their 'Za's so thick you could order an extra-large and probably feed six to eight people . If I were homeless I would eat here. Once piece could be your dinner and easily fill you. This is a hot spot on Friday or Saturday night, especially later on when the munchies strike Whyte Ave. bar hoppers. It's a way better deal than Funky Pickle, which has high-quality expensive toppings, but you get more, the toppings are good, and there's always a crowd at the door. -

Why go all the way to Illinois for deep dish pizza, when you can get it right here in Edmonton? Okay, maybe it's not exactly the same experience, but Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is the closest thing we got.
This place is completely no frills. It almost looks like an abandoned restaurant. And don't expect to sit down, unless you come by yourself, because there's just one lonely stool by the window.
The pizza is cheap, only $2.50 a slice. This pizza is good--gooey cheese and thick, crispy crust. It's not as good as Funky Pickle, but who cares; you just can't beat the price. -

The pizza is sometimes really great or unsatisfying.
I usually order by the slice and they serve it hot but sometimes it's cold and lacking in toppings. It seems like sometimes they feel like putting an effort into the food and sometimes they don't.
This is a better than alot of the places on Whyte Ave, especially after a night out. I have tried other locations and they are actually better. You can expect the same effort from them every time. This one is a bit lacking. -

I don't know what it is about Chicago Deep Dish but it is always delicious!
It's greasy and there's really not much to it, and yet, for some reason it is so good!
This place is open late night so it's really good for all the club hoppers on Whyte Ave. Especially if there is a line up at Funky Pickle (which can be expensive and too elaborate for a late night snack anyways).
Chicago Deep Dish has big slices of pizza for a good price. I love their ham. The slices are gigantic!
These guys are really good. If you haven't been before, you have to try it at least one. It's a late night staple! -

I had one slice of pepperoni pizza from Chicago Deep Dish and it was good - I like the flavour of the dough and the pepperoni slices had a nice spicy zing to them. I'll have to order an entire pizza next time.

If you have friends over, and you don't feel like cooking, reach for the phone and dial Chicago Deep Dish's number. Their pizzas are enormous, and each one can easily satisfy the hunger of up to five people. I think that a square pizza is a genious idea that allows you to get more bang for your buck. In addition to being square, Chicago Deep Dish pizzas are very thick, and that adds up to a massive amount of food. My most frequently ordered pizza is the Galazy that includes salami, bacon, shrimp, pineapple, olives and tomatoes... to name a few. This pizza may be too fulfilling and butch for the ladies, but my male friends just swipe it off the plate. At $36 for a large, this pizza is a great deal. All their pizzas are a great deal, really!
Chicago Deep Dish pizzas take a bit longer to prepare, so if you order take-out or delivery, be patient. The final product is delicious and will make it worth your while. -

This is hit or miss. Fantastic or bleh. Honestly I think it depends on who is cooking that night. The nights the pizza isn't too greasy this is probably the best pizza in town.
