This is, IMHO, the BEST burger place in the city (with the other Chez Victor locations).

The food is consistently awesome. Their french fries are terrific. Multiple choices of mayo (Maple-Rosemary is my favourite). Local Microbrew beer on tap and in bottles.

The plates are HUGE, the prices very good. You can try different types of meat (wild pig is a nice example) and local cheeses.

DEFINITELY try the Maghrebin Burger (veggie burger made with lentils and orange-dates and sharp cheddar) WOW! Just wow!

I dare you NOT to love this place.

We're vegans, and we ate here twice in four days.  Does this mean that it's hard to find vegan food in Quebec, or that Chez Victor is awesome?  Yes, both.

Technically, none of the menu items is vegan as listed, but four veggie burgers and one veggie sandwich can be made vegan by leaving off the cheese and mayonnaise.  I especially recommend the tofu burger and the Brazil nut-spinach burger;  my husband had the veggie pate burger one night and reported that it wasn't quite as good as the others.  We never tried the grain burger or the sandwich.

On top of all this, Chez Victor has a good selection of beer and wine.

Ironically, one of the restaurants in Quebec with the most options for vegetarians! Tasty, fast, reasonably priced, with one waitress. Thankfully a very friendly, efficient, and English-speaking waitress. The beer and veggie burger were great. The fries were undersalted, but that was easily rectified. I'd go back.
