Definitely a great spot for a healthy breakfast with tons of options. Go here for especially for the fresh mountain of fruit with every meal...everything is pretty decent...the crepes, the smoothies, eggs benedicts, etc...

This time I went with the smoked salmon on a Montreal bagel. It had cream cheese, lightly cooked spinach, and topped with some capers and sweet onions...It was really really good. Crunch from the bagel, sour from the capers, smokey, rich...Just perfect flavors together.

There's plenty of seating. We had a table of 12 with no issues.
Always a favorite on our way out of Winnipeg.

Been here a couple of times over the last little while, and always for Sunday brunch with friends it is always busy, but it moves along fairly good..  The place is bright and cheery and the service is what you expect. Over all the menu is full of options that everyone in our groups finds something to eat (some the same thing over and over)  The samira - wake up I had was very enjoyable, however ended up losing some of it to other that although they were enjoying their omelets, wanted some more fruit.  all in all a good meal with great friends, something I am looking forward to doing again.

I went to Chez Cora in Montreal and had an amazing breakfast, so I was pretty excited to see that Cora's was in Winnipeg too.

I decided to take my mum for breakfast so we went down on a Sunday morning.

Wow, it was packed. There was maybe 20 people waiting for a table but they got us in in about 15 minutes, which was great.

I had been craving their grilled crepe with banana, peanut butter and bacon (which is what I had in Montreal - amazing combination!) but I ended up ordering their winter special, Timberriffic, which is a chocolate brioche, sliced and dipped in french toast batter and topped with fresh strawberries, bananas and English cream. Mmmm so so good. You can't beat chocolate for breakfast, and this wasn't overly sweet either. Just right!

My mum had Raspberry 4 Lucie which was also fabulous - lots of fruit and cream cheese and the crepe had a nice consistency.

The portions were the perfect size - a little more than I needed to eat but not ridiculously huge. Neither of us eat very much (a typical restaurant entree is about twice as big as I need) so I suppose for some big eaters a single menu selection might not fill you right up. The portions aren't small, but they're not as big as portions at most casual dining restaurants.

Presentation of the food was really nice. The pictures in the menu show lots of fancy fruit platters and attractive entrees, and the food coming out of the kitchen actually looked like it does in the menu, including the fancy cut and arranged fruit. Rather impressive actually.

The service was fine - nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. The atmosphere is sunny, friendly and family-oriented - lots of bright colours, quirky art on the walls and busy & bustling.

I enjoyed Cora's. Next time I'll pick a slightly less busy day and save myself the wait, but I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in the mood for something a little creative and different for breakfast.

This place is delicious! One of the best eggs benedict I've ever eaten. We got there on the early side on a Sunday- 10 am- and we were seated within 5 minutes. We ordered an array of crepes and savory dishes- all of them were fantstic. My coffee cup was never empty and the service was attentive. The decor is a little odd- it's a little like kindergarten in there- but the food is so good it doesnt matter. If you're thinking about it- go here!
