I used to love this place. I still do, however, haven't bought anything real awesome in a long time. When this shop used to be upstairs they had the coolest t-shirt decals then I think they had some licensing issues and their images have fallen flat on the awesome scale. You will see once in a while some gems, however, you're waiting a long time. If you want a custom shirt with lettering you're looking at a min $1 - $2 for a basic letter. You can buy a $4 shirt and Michael's and buy Iron on letters. Their t-shirt choices back in the day used to be awesome and used retro style fitting. Now it's cheap material that have no character (I miss the awesome array of ringer t styles). I will still go there to check out what they have, laugh at some decals with friends and check out their leggings. Gone are the days when it used to be my summer mission to get a cool shirt done. The one thing that this store has is that they do custom decals for you. I have had some awesome made shirts from the pages of my favorite story book like the Fire Cat. The staff are awesome but then again, you have to be very receptive and open minded. I mean that in the sense that I agree with most that they aren't very customer service orientated, however, their attitude remind me of the culture of some of the shops I visit yearly in LA, therefore, I am used to it.

I had some groupons for me and my friends to get t-shirts custom printed. After checking out the iron-on transfer choices at Bang-On we went to Cherry Bomb and found they had some cool ones we didn't see at B-O.
They said it would be about 20 minutes to do up our t's so we went off for a beer. I didn't check out a lot of their other stock but they had some fun vintage items. The staff are friendly. -

Cherry Bomb is a joke. And I don't mean that to be complimentary, like how sick or ill has positive connotations. The store sells scenester style and specializes in grafting designs onto clothes. Yes, not a bad idea for a store.
Cherry Bomb is quasi-costume shop it seems, selling some atrocious garb befitting theme parties. The prices are reasonable in some respects, such as the price of shades, and gouged in others. Their is a decent selection of cheap sunglasses here, so it's not a bad place to pick up a pair for a concert where they'll likely be lost.
So why do I hate on CB? Why, the vile staff. I find them repulsive. And no, I don't mean their appearance, although they are hardly refined. Their personalities are such that their internal grotesquery translates onto their expressions. They always seem pissed, likely for working at there, and their customer service follows in suit. Their rude, unhelpful and bitter beyond reprieve. Their presence is ugly. I loathe such personalities and the negative vibe they affect. I can not fathom shopping here. -

Used to love this place but I've become a little annoyed with them lately. The staff are so inattentive and pretentious going there isn't nearly as fun. They display clothing that isn't for sale which is a pet peeve of mine and some of the prices are ridiculous. I guess I like the stock over Bang-On, but going to Bang-On is a far less irritating experience.

The only visible difference between Cherry Bomb on Granville and Bang-On on Robson is that Cherry Bomb's spacious interior carries more of what Bang-On sells.
Custom graphic t-shirts are the main grab here, available in a million different variations and semi-offensive statements and designs. Cherry Bomb also has the the largest and most eclectic selection of rubber boots that I've seen in Vancouver thus far, from the typical leopard-print to the more heart-attack inducing rubber cowboy boot. I wonder if these would be a hit in Calgary...doubtful. Nevertheless, they are definitely unique and totally worth a gander (but not a picture, that's not allowed!).
Along with t-shirts and Wellie's, Cherry Bomb sells every kind of accessory known to man, from scarves, gloves, mitts, novelty and otherwise sunglasses, tights, nylons, stockings, hats, belts and pipes. Yes, pipes, the back of the store has a bunch of knick-knacky bits and pieces that refuse definition.
It can be a bit overwhelming in here but I found that staff to be pleasant and attentive if prompted. I found a pair of black stockings (NOT leggings...don't get me started!) for 10 bucks! -

For all your retro, ironic, iron-on, emblazoned, and lettered T-shirt needs, Cherry Bomb's gotcha covered. Choose your image or message from the multiple binders in the store, have it put on the high-quality American Apparel T-shirt of your dreams, then go out and broadcast that message to the world. Whether it's your love of Diff'rent Strokes or ambition to be a porn*star, put it on a T-shirt.
Service is fast, and as friendly as the cool Granville Mall location will allow. I can attest that these T-shirts and their decorations are built to last - my sister is still wearing the "Degrassi High" shirt I had made up for her several Christmases ago.
They've also got trucker hats and belt buckles and other logo gear, to complete your outfit. -

I went there to get some tanks printed for a staggette. The prices were reasonable, $15/8x10 sheet and the staff friendly and helpful. She helped me re-organize my design so I could get it on fewer sheets and thus save some $$. However, I was under the impression I could print any color onto my black tanks. When I arrived with photocopies in tow, I was told that I could only print exactly what was on the copy. ALSO, there would have to be white on the design because the paper was white. I was pressed for time so went ahead with it. They turned out OK, but wasn't what I was expecting at all. They did finish it in 3 hours tho, so super speedy!
