Not that I need yet another reason to love Strathcona, but this clothing store is just the best.
I went here recently to get some new wardrobe pieces for 2012, and I was not disappointed. In my opinion, all of the clothing at Charlie & Lee is beautiful -- stylish and casual without being overly hipstery. There seems to be an emphasis on unique and flattering cuts that have a timeless edge -- like the ruched skirt, black blazer and die-cut oxfords I came away with the last time I went here.
One of the things that often frustrates me with clothing shopping is the lack of really good service. I've experienced pushy salespeople who follow me around, and snobby salespeople who completely ignore me, but rarely do I encounter intellioent salespeople like the ones at Charlie and Lee. The girls who work here actually ask me what I'm looking for, choose pieces for me to try on, and then give their HONEST opinion when I step out of the changeroom. What a relief! -

Gorgeous clothing from around the world with a handful of local jewellery designers thrown in. The change rooms are lovely (sort of a 1920s African safari vibe, if that makes any sense), the sales people are friendly, and the website (they offer online shopping as well) is streamlined. I wish I could afford more here - this place would slay my wallet if I let it.

Charlie & Lee pays particular attention to quality independent designers and up and coming labels concentrating on bringing in a selection of clothing and accessories we love and wear...and hope you will too!

Established in 2010
The concept of Charlie & Lee was born while living by the beach in sunny LA, thinking about our homeland on the west coast of Canada. We are Kleah Graham and Josh Michnik, trying to fulfill our dreams of adventure. Our love of art, film, photography, music, and fashion brought us closer together. Our ideas and goals matured into Charlie & Lee, a fashion boutique concentrating on our favorite international labels from New York, Los Angeles, France, New Zealand, Australia and more. Charlie & Lee also carries select apothecary products, candles and anything else we come across along the way.
