If you want the most Friendly Staff and some GREAT FOOD and a great atmosphere...go to Resto Le Chantauteuil Pub.....the whole experience was DELICIOUS!! Thank you to our beautiful waitress that was so sweet and sooo helpful! I really loved this place! I got the salmon linguine and woooo wee it was good. My father got Steak-frites and it looked great! I had wine and it was good. The recommend this place to anyone visiting the Old City!! Thanks for the great experience!

For a restaurant placed in the very heart of the Old Quebec touristic circuit, they have reasonable prices and quite decent food. Ambient is more aligned with some old and beaten disco style, though.
Chef's creations were very well done, fast, professional, tasty and tasteful. Onion soup is the one to try, no errors with main course, too.
If you are thinking about wine, don't pay per glass - it is better than usual 1/4 fill, probably closer to 2/3, but the glass is so small you don't really notice. Food portion is not the biggest imaginable, but more than enough to make you feel good.
Servers were young girls, sort of more worried about some fancy stuff in their heads than the clients, but when they notice you, they are actually quite friendly and nice.
I wouldn't recommend spending too much time there, just enjoy your food, get out and keep on walking - Old Quebec is a beauty to discover.
