I took a level 1 pilates class here, but they also offer various other forms of fusion with yoga. It's located in a cute little alley on Queen E., and the interior is cute with a lot of character.

The lady manning the front desk was very sweet and organized. There was no hassle signing up here. It's a small expectation that is surprisingly hard to meet by many studios. (I'm wary of the ones that request too much personal information).

The instructor, who I believe is Annie, was upbeat, and provided a challenging workout with good tips and instructions. I would definitely come back here, as they have a huge diversity of classes and levels to choose from.

Sunday afternoon restorative class at Chang'e Studio. With passport soon expiring, I decided to head to the closest studio to my place be far, only a few minutes down Queen.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived and the ladies present were buzzing about how the studio will be shutting down in a couple of weeks. What a Shame, SO CLOSE to home. I should have visited before.

Regardless, I think It is fair that I review.

The studio itself is very nice, paper lanterns, exposed brick wooden floors, windows and space heaters. Lots of props for restorative. I was the youngest person in the class, and it was more of a Yin/Yang Class than a traditional restorative. The instructor was good, but something was off. (I think its the fact that they are closing)

    Bonus Points

    - SO CLOSE TO HOME
    - Nice Studio
    - Easy Check in
    - Pleasant Staff
    - Clean, Organized
    - Lots of props
    - Music
    - Small Class size (5 of us)
    - Adjustments
    - Good instruction

    Minus Points

    - No Aromatherapy
    - A Sadness in the air (regulars lamenting the close)
    - Something "off"
    - Not really my style when it comes to restorative
    - Closing in the next few weeks.
    - Definitely catering to a different demographic than me.

Thats a shame, I would have visited again for sure.

They also provide Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture etc services, although I found them a little pricey (acupuncture is $85/hr)

I decided to sign up for an intro to Pilates class here.  The studio is fairly new and I think it has only been at this location for a short while.  They offer a ton of classes through the week along with a variety of therapeutic treatments like massage.

Beyond the standard mat based classes they also offer classes that involve the hardcore Pilates machines and cover everything from basic 101 intro classes to advanced stuff.

The studio is nice and new.  A class of 10 or so people fits comfortably and all of the equipment is clean and in good shape.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  Even for someone who isn't a Yoga/Pilates regular, this place is pretty easy going and welcoming.

From what I can tell the prices for classes are fairly decent. Not the cheapest but also not insane.  They break up their services pretty well so you can pick and choose to help manage your budget.

I can see myself signing up for more classes and working this studio into my normal activity routine.
