I don't think I would've survived buying our first house if it wasn't for Armand and David from Real Mortgage Associates. From the very first contact, they made things as easy as it can possibly be.
We were referred to Armand by one of my best friends, Ryan. Apparently they do "magic" with mortgages. Needing all the magic we can get, we went onto their website and filled out the pre-approval form. David called us the day after to ask for more sensitive information such as SIN and to verify credit. He was so easy to speak to and soothed my paranoia insisting that our application was pretty much a lock. He also asked us if we had a real estate agent already. We didn't though we had recommendations from our friends and family. Trying to make it as easy for ourselves, we decided to use the agent David recommended. Coincidentally, our REA's name was also David and also the Armand's brother. (Review on REA David to come.)
Our pre-approval came a few days after we submitted it. We spoke to David the REA about our preferences. That Sunday, we looked at 9 houses. We found the house we wanted and we made an offer. REA David and Armand drafted up an offer in less than 2 hours and we were able to submit it that very night. Offer was finalized the next day, Monday. Armand and David was able to get our mortgage approved by Tuesday.
When we came in to sign the mortgage papers, Armand discussed the mortgage terms with us. He got us a great rate with a good bank. He explained everything to us in great detail. When we asked him about a mortgage lawyer and a home inspector, he referred us to people him and REA David deals with all the time. Again, we wanted to make this as easy for us as possible. Armand, David and REA David coordinated everything for us.
To be honest, all of the guys from RMA and also REA David made buying our first home as smooth as possible. They're available for our (my incessant) phone calls. They're proactive and also quickly reactive to our needs and to the deal. They treated us like we were buying a million dollar home even though we weren't. They were patient and very knowledgeable and shared their knowledge with us. I'm so pleased on how everything worked out and especially glad that we now have THE real estate experts we'll be working with as long as they'll have us.Listed in: 1st Home Purchase
