A Barangay is a type of early Filipino settlement, and this shop is a Filipino craft store.
Never been to a Filipino craft store before? Well!
It's kinda like a regular craft store, with it's basic glues and pipe cleaners and beads and buttons and such, but it also features hand crafted art work from the Philippines, like wooden sculptures and wind chimes.
BUT! My favourite thing in the place are the SHELLS! There are baskets and baskets of various types of shells, shells I've never seen in my life! (See my photos). If you're crafty, check this place out. -

There are so many bead stores that seem designed to just shake every last penny from a parent's wallet with their wondrous merchandising and outrageous pricing. Celsa's is the complete opposite. It's less pretentious than Honest Ed's. Prices are reasonable. My daughter loves this store. Thanks Kim b for defining barangay.
