Came here for dinner with a girlfriend one night after not having been for years. It was just as I remembered, a quiet but elegant little spot, perfect for either a romantic evening or an intimate gathering of friends.
They were not very busy, and the waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. We each ordered a caesar salad to start. It was more or less your average caesar, tasty, but nothing unique. For our entrees I ordered the maple glazed salmon with roast potatoes and carrots, and my friend chose the scallops au gratin, which came with the same sides as mine.
My friend raved about her meal, and I was very happy with my salmon, which was absolutely delicious. Tender and moist, and the glaze and spices were just perfect. The vegetables were also very good, simple, but well prepared.
Finally, we finished off the evening by sharing a humongous slice of cheesecake with raspberry coulis and whip cream. It was fantastic, but so large and filling (especially after all we had just eaten) that we couldn't finish it. A travesty for someone who normally goes by the age-old adage "never leave a cheesecake behind" (that was the saying, wasn't it...). I'm getting hungry even thinking about it now...wait...what was I talking about again?
Oh yeah, The Cellar. In a nutshell: excellent food, excellent service, definitely worth checking out. Just make sure you save room for the cheesecake.Listed in: Good Eats!

The Cellar Bar & Grill last night and it was just as I remembered. I'm recently engaged and my future mother-in-law wanted to take us out to celebrate. It's casual fine-dining at it's best. The prices are very reasonable for what you get (I mean, more than a teen burger combo at A&W but much less than a night out at the Five Fisherman), the atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing, and the service is great.
As a creature of habit, I always order their mussels and my favourite chicken & mushroom pasta (sub penne). I also love their caesar salad, crab cakes, calamari, pizza... well...you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Although parking is sometimes a tight squeeze, I have never had a bad experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for a nice night out with someone special minus the big price tag check out the Cellar Bar & Grill. -

The Cellar Bar and Grill has a very pleasant atmosphere. As much as it is a wonderful spot for a cozy lunch or dinner for two, three, or four, it also works well for a larger group such as the business luncheon I attended. A semi private room near the back provided enough space and privacy for our networking group to feel comfortable. I loved the bread they provided beforehand, very yummy and everyone was very happy with their meals. I am a picky eater and had the Chicken Pesto Penne. I absolutely loved it and the serving size was more than adequate. I definately did not have room for dessert. Our servers were attentive, kept our waters full, and very friendly. I will be back!

You get more than you imagine from this place. Like everyone else said, you think it is a pub style and you walk in to a nice dinning area.
The service is great and the staff are wonderful, top that off with a great meal and drink, it is a wonderful evening or lunch. -

I stopped into the Cellar Bar & Grill with a friend of mine last weekend. We just finished a little shopping so we decided to stop for a beer and a bite to eat.
I very much enjoyed myself and absolutely loved the subdued setting. Our waitress was a doll and was so friendly and courteous.
I thought it was going to more of a bar/pub style area but there is actually a really nice dining area. The only problem that we had was that there was barely any parking and the lot is a one-way drive way which makes it twice as hard to find parking. I had to drive around a few times until we finally decided to park in the lot next to the pub. -

This place used to be good. It was the spot you went to in Bedford when you didn't feel like scooting downtown. Font know what happened but it's gone way downhill. Crappy service, out dated menu, inconsistent kitchen and it feels like you're time travelling to 2001. Go across the street to Finbars.

I have eaten here about a dozen times. Try the crab crusted haddock.. ehmmmm real good. The place is a lot nicer inside than you might expect. I was expecting more of a pub!! A good spot for a nice dinner with your significant other. Service has always been very good and so is the food. Highly recommended.

Unpretentious, very pleasant neighbourhood restaurant / bar with an imaginative menu and excellent food. The bar is cosy, while the dining room is nicely appointed. Attentive service and reasonable price make this an ideal venue for an informal dinner.
