Yuppies (who have never actually been in the tavern, mind you) wanted this place shut down through the mighty fist of expropriation (because there was no other legal way to do it). They got their wish. Now the (former) patrons of this place have migrated into their space in condoland. I'm smoking a cigar, grinning right now.
Rest in Peace, CECIL. A jagged blade in the rough. -

Well, I'm surprised they haven't shut this place down yet. To tell you the truth, I've never been in here. It's historic yes, but surrounded by the crazies that hang out at the Calgary Drop-In Centre that is located only metres away.
I think you can pay by the hour here and I'm pretty sure they have a bar downstairs too.
What a seedy place. A-Okay in my books. I'd just never go there without a shotgun and a flak jacket.
