After months of indecisiveness, I finally decided it was time to get some kind of cat tree/scratching post to keep my cat from clawing at my clothes in my closet and jumping on top of my freezer and opening it (and letting my meat thaw). Nothing really caught my eye at big pet stores, plus everything there seemed really expensive ($200-$300 for what I was looking for).
After some googling, I came across this website. There are a lot of varieties of cat trees, etc to choose from, depending on how much room and how many cats you have. The Chairman asked for the cat cactus, but I told him that we didn't really have space for it and he would have to make due with something a bit simpler. We ended up going with the Tall Cat Tree, 4' tall, which seemed to be a pretty popular seller. It also just seemed more visually appealing than a lot of other options I'd seen in pet stores.
I ordered the cat tree late Saturday night, was contacted on Sunday, and it was delivered to my door at no extra charge Monday evening. Since then, my cat has spent most of his time surveying the apartment from the top level.
I was very impressed with the quality of the construction. It doesn't even budge when all 17 pounds of my cat comes tearing across the living room and leaps all the way up. I think maybe I could climb on it too. And I only paid $100. Awesome deal, if you ask me.Listed in: Cats!
