If you want to feel like you are in Vegas go to Vegas. Casino Niagara is the older of two casino in Niagara Falls. The place do look little run down. They tried very hard to change it up once in a while but still look the same to me. The latest thing they did was put up few tvs around the gaming tables.

There is no high roller room in this casino unless you want to call a 50 bucks bet a high roller. Unlike Vegas You won't see flashy people walking or people who try to look like they worth few bucks.

This is good place just to go have fun if you like gambling. You won't have to really mortgage you house when you walk in there unless you are a moron. Friday and Saturday Night you will get alot of young roudy and drunk kids stumbling in after clubbing. The ones who didn't pick in the club will be throwing the money in there. The one who picked up usually in the hotel room and youw on't see them. :-)

There are couple of places where you can eat. 1. Market Buffet 2. Quench Bar (Sports Bar) 3. Lucky's Steakhouse. 4. Perk Cafe

    1. Market Buffet - Stay away from this joint at all cost. Unless you are dying for some shitty food.
    2. Quench Bar - They have awesome Club House at good price. Try it.
    3. Lucky's Steakhouse - I am not a big fan of red meat. But this place make some TASSSSTY steak. :-) You have to try this place. Not really a fancy place but the food is AWESOME.
    4. Perk Cafe - The street meat (hot dog) is what I usually get when I am on the run. :-)

As for Entertainment there is a Yuk Yuk. Saw a show there once. The act was pretty funny. May be I got lucky. LOL. During weekend there are some live band. Some of them you just wanna egg them. :D

There is a sports section on the second level where you can bet on sports. Don't get excited all you people with sports gambling problem. This so sports book is run by OLGC which translate to Dirty Bookie. They give you the worst odds. May as well just take your money even before you place you bet. That way you will atleast save time from making those parlay bets. But if you do put down some money .... Good luck.

Staffs: They are all good people very friendly. You do get some odd balls. Who really love their job and you don't know why they are there. Overall most of them are good and very courteus. Don't feel shy about asking about a game you don't know how to play. JUST DON'T ASK FOR A 7 when people are throwing the dice on a CRAP TABLE. Unless you want some dirty looks. :-)

PARKING: Get a player card and its free. If you don't want to be part of marketing pool and sign up for a card. Then you will have to dish out 10-20 bucks.

Oh.my.gosh.  I had noooo ideas Canadians liked to gamble this much!  Nah, I think it's because the age limit is 18 and over.  There were so many young people.  But in any case, this casino was like Vegas at night (during peak season)  when the kids are out to a club and they end up at the tables.  it was really THAT crowded.  Was not that comfortable because not only was it crowded, but the smoke was everywhere, and the atmosphere was kind of weird.  The table game we wanted had a minimum bet of $60, wow that is sure hefty! haha.  So no thanks to that.  Finished the night playing some video stuff.  Meanwhile, the Grecian decor out by the front lobby was pretty neat... which is why there is some resemblance to the Vegas touches.  Other than that, it seems like the locals come here more often than the other casinos.  The parking lots were packed (saturday night) and all the tables were nearly filled.  This is a happening joint to hang out, take photos, probably grab a drink and if you are young - this is the place to live it up (if you have the cash).  Otherwise, I do not mind coming back here.. just probably not at a peak time.  Plus there is also another casino nearby anyway.

I remember crossing the Canadian border with some friends one night and going to the casino right across the border.

It was actually kinda funny, but we made $0.75 that night - just enough to pay the toll to cross back into the US for the three of us!  hahahahha

All I remember is a long line to get in to get carded (who doesn't look 19?) no free drinks at gaming tables which ticked off my then-wife.  I shoulda bought her the (I assumed also to be free) wine cos I went to the bar to get a Molson Canadien for me and a glass of wine and was told by the bartender that according to Ontario law I could not buy two (obviously not for me like shot n beer) drinks at one time (even in a friggin casino) so in front of the guy I stashed my beer behind a plant and went up to him again and ordered the wine (which he gave me).

Otherwise Southern Ontario is a cool place, check out the Ontario Beer Stores (another Candian liquor anomoly but if you want 6 Export whisked to you in less than 5 seconds this is the place)

The card games are the same as in America.  The slot games aren't that much different from America.  If you have a favorite game, you're bound to find it here.

One thing that I noticed here immediately was clean air.  You know you're not in Las Vegas.  The decorum is just as classy as Vegas.

Don't worry if you don't have Canadian money to play the casinos.  There are bill changers there.  Insert American dollars and you'll get Canadian currencies.   You're right there on the border so this casino is smart to accept American dollars.

Having gone to Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods in Connecticut and casinos in the Dominican Republic........this place leaves much to be desired.

It is understaffed, over machined (too many slots) and hardly enough tables.  The room where the tables were reminded me of a bingo hall with bling.

I will give it three stars for it's crap crew.  Very nice dealers handling the table as well as Pit Boss. I only played for 35-45 mins but I think the Pit Boss was graciously giving comps to the small players at the table.  Had I stayed longer she probably would have hooked me up.

Now this is a weird thing.  No smoking in the casino except designated smoking areas.  One, I am happy because the smell of stale cigarettes gets old and is very nasty.  Two, I was extremely disappointed I couldn't smoke one of my cigars.

I didn't see a drink waitress the entire time, but whatever.  I came out around $40-50 ahead from a small $50 buy-in so I was happy.

I enjoy gambling, but if you've seen one you've seen 'em all. They have a War table, which is just about all I can handle. I made some money and jetted. I didn't go to the newer Fallsview, but my parents did and they said it was beautiful inside. Wish we had just gone to Fallsview instead since it was a stone's throw from where we were staying (Four Points) rather than fooling with the shuttle bus system to go to the old one.

Being the older of the two casinos on the Canadian side of the border, Casino Niagara is definitely doing its part to keep up.

They've recently added some high-tech machines to replace the tables, allowing for the low-limits without taking a dealer away from a table. Now you can play Roulette, Sic-bo, Blackjack and Poker without ever having to look a human-being in the face. Sure, it's taken some of the life out of the casino, but that's what you get at a lower price.

Downstairs you can receive that missing human connection with a full Poker room, a sports betting area and a bar right in the centre. From here, you can also access the Yuk Yuk's comedy club, which is a great addition, especially when you can get comped easily.

Be sure to get a Players Club card on your way in to park for free, not to mention get offers for freebies in both casinos.

It's been a while since I've been in a real casino, so it's hard for me to base my rating on any comparison, but I gave a 3.5 star rating rounded up because they asked me for ID and made me feel young.  One big plus for me was that it was a non-smoking casino from what I noticed (although there may have been some secluded smoking areas).  All the employees here were really nice, like Canadians usually are.
The bathrooms here were spotless and they had a cool hand dryer that I had never seen before.  On top of all that, the games I played actually paid out pretty well and let me win back most of what I had lost earlier.  Spent about an hour gambling and the only thing I can say I didn't like was the fact that there was only one crap table and the dice weren't falling the way i like to bet, so I left it alone w/o playing the table.

If there is one thing that the city of Toronto lacks (there is more than one but go with me) it is a legitimate place where people can gamble.  This may not seem like a very bad thing to some people but to others, like myself, who like gambling this is a bit tough, but luckily enough God in his infinite wisdom created Niagara Falls. While most people would think that going to Niagara Falls to see the falls would be enough now you can go for a completely different reason, to blow your life savings and the lucky bonus is that there is a giant cliff close by to jump off of when you're done.  Niagara Casino was the first big casino in Niagara Falls and I think it's pretty nice.  They have free parking for the gambling addicts who drove all the way from Toronto and the inside is quite well maintained.  They have all the games you want to play like blackjack, poker roulette and slots and the atmosphere is almost always convivial. I would recommend Casino Niagara for those people who like to take their hard earned money and throw it away at the chance of having slightly more.

I am there almost every weekend!  I have been to Vegas and Reno as well as to many casinos in Louisiana, and I can honestly say that this is a completely uncomplicated casino.  I do not feel overwhelmed or scrutinized when i go here.  The buffet is better than the Fallsview Buffet...because I am in love with their toffee pudding!  The draw backs to this casino...and fallsview are that they over monitor their food comps!  I am a gold-member and I still have issues with certain people when trying to get an extra buffet comp!  They do not even question it at other casinos...so these guys need to get over it!  Otherwise...great gaming experience and pretty good payouts!

If you ever venture up to Niagara Falls area, a visit to one of the two casinos on the Canadian side is a must! Both casinos, the new and this one, the older are pretty good. They are similar, although this one has no frilly hotel and shopping area and quite frankly is what it is, a smaller plain old casino. The location is near Clifton Hill and is prime, towering on the hill down the road from the falls. The outside is a huge building with a huge parking area garage and a indoor water slide on the roof of the adjoining parking garage. The interior is not that nice, with carpets and a food court area. Bring your license or ID because you will need it to enter the casino portion since they check every person entering any entrance. The casino part is not large but big enough, but totally filled with slots. It almost seemed like it was all slots with a smaller part of being table games, but more than the newer casino. I would say there was about 10 blackjack tables, 5 roulette tables, a casino war table, and a few other games. There are a few bars and lounges and then a concert hall area. there is smoking in this casino in a smaller area but it is mostly smoke free. The other casino is totally smoke free so that is better. Aside from having very few tables games, this place gets pretty packed. Although it is older it has more table games and the limits were less on the tables then the newer casino. Check them both out since they both are worth it!
