Feeling a tad seedy and hungover I was in need of a breakfast sandwich.
Too lazy to walk the four blocks to McD's i ducked into Casa Romana. I've never been here but i always pass it (and their sandwich board) on my walk to Burrard Station. It's got a nice big window with a high banquette and chairs that overlooks the street for maximum people watching.
The coffee was strong and hot. The breakfast sandwich was good, cheap and toasted!
Perhaps noticing the dark glasses on a rainy day, the weak: coffee and a breakfast sandwich request and desire to slump at the counter by the window, the server/owner turned the tunes down (THANK YOU!) so my head could bang in peace.
If you're in the hood and looking for coffee, sandwiches, salads and lunch fare, this is a great little place to check out. I'll be back.
Open early for the office rush and closed by 4pm. Closed on Sundays.
