I received my first mens' hair cut at Casa Dante's on Friday, 10th, 2012 with Marina as my stylist.
In short, it was simply the best cut/style I have every received in my life.
My Dad always used to tell me that the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one was about two weeks - no worries here, I feel sure you will get a great experience at Casa Dante's every time.
Marina was very professional and has won a number of awards for her work in this field. She also modeled a great look herself and obviously takes pride in her own appearance, work and reputation.
It was the first time I had meet the stylist and she made me feel at ease with an easy, open conversation style and an engaging personality - The Russian accent is cute!
The men's cut cost me $35 which is a little more than I am used to paying but I feel the cut was worth the extra money.
I highly recommend both Casa Danta Hair Salon and Marina as a stylist - I am going to be a regular at Dante's from now on! -

Casa Dante is an excellent salon! I see Janine for cut and highlights at the salon and she is fantastic. She is efficient with her time and does an amazing job. Janine gives great cuts, and last time I was in she said she placed first in a style competition in Halifax. It is great to see such enthusiasm, talent and passion in what she does.
Some other perks are the fact that they treat you nicely with fresh coffee or tea, and there is a 20% student discount. Lastly, all the stylist are master stylist so you have confidence you aren't getting an inexperienced stylist.
Casa Dante is a wonderful salon, I recommend all of my friends to go there and they have had similar raving reviews! Coming from Toronto I am so happy to finally find a salon and stylist I love. -

Wow, I'm totally thrilled. I'm way behind on writing reviews for places around town, but I'm all happy today and I decided to do this one.
Why am I happy, you ask? 'cause I treated myself to a cut and style from the knowledgeable, personable Michael here. (I've visited Angela before and was happy, too!)
And the day after the cut, I CANNOT stop running my hands through my hair. It feels and looks amazing. It doesn't tangle like it did, the split ends are gone, and no more ponytails (well, unless I want one) for another six months, at least! I can actually do something with this hairstyle other than "blowdry it and hope for the best".
The deep conditioning treatment has turned my hair from straw to luscious. *rubs hair again* And it looked absolutely fabulous the day he did it, too... I went out with my new hair and felt more confident than I have in a while!
I love this place. I'm going to be visiting twice a year, now.
Note: the prices are a little expensive, but my hair grows verrrry slowly and is hard to handle. Therefore, I find it SO worth it to pay $75 for a cut that will last six months or more and the peace of mind that comes with not worrying about whether that cheap haircut place will ruin my hair for a year or more.
If your hair grows super-fast and you change it up a lot, you might want to limit your visits to a treat. If your hair grows super-slowly and you want a style that will keep you happy for a while, maybe you'll want to visit this place too. :)
