I came to this place to try it out because they have a summer special deal, where you can have a three course meal for around $30 something dollars. You can also add two wine pairings for an additional $14.00.
First, I like that it was quiet and dimly lit inside. The tables were roomy and wide apart from each other. The service was friendly and fast.
From the fresh bread they served at the beginning to the dessert at the end, each dish was presented beautifully and the dishes they were served in was super modern. The seafood chowder or asparagus as a starter was delicious. The main course, I was torn between steak or lamb, but decided on steak was mouth watering, and the dessert which was a molton lava cake was totally to die for.
Yes, I will be back to try the other dishes on the summer special deal !!! -

Some good points: very nice starters with fresh salads and a rich chowder for some of our group. Desserts were good, some were amazing!
Main course meals were variable with medium rare coming out cool in the middle (that would be rare...almost blue rare). Inconsistent doneness within one person's steak from rare to medium/ well done.
Service was a real concern. There was a long wait between courses in the half empty restaurant for our group of 9. That was fine as we enjoyed great conversation. However, as we were finishing dessert, on their timeline, they informed us that, no hurry, but the large group standing around nearby have a reservation for our table.
We would choose another restaurant next time. Good service should simply be an expectation at this price. -

The chef(s) are good, i mean really good. I would give him/her 5 stars.
...but fact is, SIZE MATTERS.
Albeit the everything from the warm sourdough to the pistachio ice cream was delicious, I'm not not happy with the kiddie-sized portions.
It's really expensive if you consider what you're paying for. No one at our table of 8 was over 160lbs, yet none of us were really full after a 3-course meal.
This is a very simple thing to fix - don't be so cheap, serve ADULT size meals please. -

I went here for a business meeting and just had a drink and some appies. We tried their Tempura Calamari and Shrimp appy and it was the best I've ever tasted. It was so light and crispy and also had a few veggies in the mix which were just as good as the shrimp/calamari. They also gave us warm cranberry bread with butter and it was so delicious. So few restaurants give out fresh bread these days that it was a nice change to sit down at a nice restaurant and get great service.

This steakhouse is pretty basic offering your basic selection of steak.
What's special about this place that I like quite a bit is the fact that in addition to the beef, you can also get game meats here.
Bison, Caribou and a few others. I'm not sure if it's seasonal, but I certainly have enjoyed the Bison there numerous times and they prepare it in such a way you get the full natural flavour as opposed to an over seasoned piece of meat. -

Didn't have buffalo after all. Was on the menu. We were too tired to leave. Food was mediocre but expensive. This is owned by a big hotel chain.
Service was better than most.
Place could have been cleaner. -

We stopped by one night and had steaks with wine and some appies. The food was a big surprise. The steaks were to die for and the meat melted in the mouth. The house wine was a great paring too and the service was excellent. The bill came around $120+ for 2 . Since then we have been back 2 already and would recommend it to any meat lovers.

This is a hidden gem in Richmond! The beef carpaccio and bake oysters appetizers were fresh and tasty. Their famous Carver's steak was very well prepared and cooked to our liking. What we liked best was how piping hot the food was on the warm plates, as if it was right off the stove and onto our tables. The staff was very friendly and prompt to serve, everyone appeared to enjoy their work and made the atmosphere delightful.

i tried this place with my friends during Dine Out... and it's absolutely fabulous... i had the rib eye and it was so good, it was so juicy it was cooked to perfection... we also had the baked oysters as appys...
