Review from Matt G.
Vancouver, BC
This is one of my favorite bookstores in Vancouver. It's small, but they have an incredible selection of classic literature (my favorite). The owner is quiet and respectful. If you're looking to browse, this is a great place for you. Sometimes in small bookstores like this one I feel as though the staff are staring at me, or they're overly aggressive. Not this one. The owner is incredibly helpful, but won't talk to you unless you approach him (a plus, in my opinion).

Review from Chloë E.

As in any good bookstore, books line the walls and even the floors here. Literature is the house-specialty, but I also found a good selection of non-fiction titles. Two wide shelves offer yoga titles, and I found BKS Iyengar's Light on Yoga, which I'd been seeking for some time. But for the $12 I paid for the used title, I could have picked up a new copy online. So not impressed with the pricing, although I appreciated the selection. Service was borderline surly, yet reading Matt G's review I'll give it the benefit of poor interpretation.
Being a big fan of the Carson Books and Records location on West Broadway, I was a bit disappointed there are no records at this location. But so it goes.
Oh, which reminds me: they also have a nice selection of Vonnegut titles too. -

A perfect little used-book shop on Dunbar Street. I've almost always found what I was looking for every time I've gone into Carson Books. The owner and staff are friendly, quiet, and kind, and will gladly help you locate a title if you need it. A place to browse, with a large selection of literature, classic and contemporary, and reasonable prices. A great way to be green, too, is to buy used rather than new books!
