Carrick Knowe Golf Course

Great course for a council owned course. Is always well kept. Very flat but does provide a bit of a challenge for regular playing. Is always very windy and this is what adds to the challenge of the course. The first is a straight par 4 and gets you of to a nice start. For children round prices are 4.50 for a weekday and 6.50 for a weekend.

Carrick Knowe golf course is a municipal course located to the west of Edinburgh near the Zoo. The course is pretty well maintained although the greens can be quite poor on some occasions. It is also pretty flat and not overly challenging. I've never been here while it's been overly busy so that makes for a more peaceful round. I've also never been in the club house, but it doesn't look the nicest or most sophisticated. Prices are the same here as any other Edinburgh Council Municipal Courses but I think you can find better deals on normal courses through things like Spree.
