I have had the opportunity to deal with the Carling Animal Hospital and its staff a few times now. Some have been less than happy situations and others have been simple check-ups and weigh-ins. No matter what the circumstances the staff have been absolutely incredible.
It is a modern facility near the intersection of Carling and Maitland. The hospital is a good size and can accommodate quite a few animals. There are experts on staff to help with most situations, and the assisting staff clearly care for the animals and their well-being.
The downside to the hospital is that it doesn't have overnight capabilities. This means if an animal needs over night attention, it will have to be shipped to another hospital. Luckily the hospital has great relations with an animal hospital in the south end. They take care of everything for you if a transfer of an animal is needed.
I can't say anything bad about this place. Some may complain about the costs, but that really doesn't change at any animal hospital. Besides, animals are well worth the cost anyway. -

I've been dealing with the Carling Animal Hospital for the past 25 years. They have helped all my dogs who have all lived to a ripe old age (the ones who have gone were old, I still have 2 that are cared for there).
The staff is outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors are awesome, caring and extremely professional. It is a pleasure to go there to their new location at the intersection of Carling Avenue and Woodroffe Ave (their 3rd location since they started). The building is now owned by them and constructed specifically to help in the care of animals. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Our 7 Ottawa veterinarians are supported by 13 Veterinary Technicians & Assistants and 9 Client Care Reception staff.
