Review from A V.

Yeah, obviously a great place to look for vintage, mainly electric, guitars. If you are looking for a real '52 Telecaster, this is the place to look (just be prepared to pay $30-40 thousand). I bought a Gibson ES-335 '63 reissue that was on consignment there. An amazing guitar that plays like a dream. And I sold a Taylor acoustic at the same time and I appreciated the help they provided. I thought I heard that when the Stones were in town they would come here to buy guitars. Not sure if that's true but it shouldn't be a surprise if it were.
But I agree with other reviewers, some of the guys there(not all) seem to treat customers not just with aloofness, but with...disdain, which is a little irritating. Mind you, it's not as bad as the experience I had with the short, bald homunculus at She Said Boom! on College. -

This review is addressed solely at their repair department. I own a vintage electric guitar that I was on the brink of selling-- though I absolutely love its sound-- because I couldn't get it properly intonated/set up. I'd tried having it setup at other places to no avail. The repair guys at Capsule really got it right and I am super grateful. Highly recommend this place for setup of vintage instruments. Their prices are quite reasonable so they'd be worth using even for simple, routine setups etc.

Carrying the torch of Queen St. W. used guitar stores (since Songbird closed), Capsule is always great for eye-candy.
Lots of beautiful instruments throughout the store, with some interesting selection.
I've found the staff to be a bit short and inattentive, which kind of keeps me from going back here too often.
Its a really small space, so try to avoid it when its busy or going with large groups of people.
I haven't used their guitar repair service, but they would probably be one of the first shops I'd get in touch with if I needed any work done.
