Cute little place on Yonge/Finch! It's fairly different from the rest of the Yonge/Finch joints -- some may say it's too different, but I find it unique and refreshing. My friend and I came here about 45 minutes before closing. It's quite clean and quiet. My friend and I ordered ourselves a cappuccino cheesecake and a red velvet cheesecake.
I actually liked the cappuccino cheesecake better (and I'm usually quite a red velvet aficionado).
Service was great -- the owner was very nice and accommodating. Perfect little place for a first date or to catch up with a friend! -

Tried 3 cupcakes.
The frosting was pretty damn good. It had nice firm texture to it with appropriate sugary taste, but without greasiness. But the cake was a disaster. It was very dry and greasy. It disintegrated too easily. And it left an unpleasant aftertaste. The overall taste reminded me of something very cheap that you can get at Tim Hortons. But I have to mention that the cakes had aromatic initial taste. Red Velvet was certainly disappointing. The other 2 were pretty much meh as well. The chocolate flavor was a bit too strong on one of the cupcakes.
They also have cakes, mini cakes, coffees, teas and gelato.
The interior of the cafe is like barbie house brought to life. The wall-sized shelf with plates and flowers, bright colored furnitures, and all the cute cups+tea pots provide the feel of garden. It is cozy, but it looked a bit contrived to me. Girls will definitely love hanging out at this place just for its atmosphere.
Street parking is readily available in front of the store. -

Went to this cafe to get a cake for a friend's birthday. We ate there too and ordered tea. The cafe is a tiny thing really. Their "kitchen" took up most of the floor space. The tables were small and put really close to each other. But besides the size of the store, it's actually a really nice place. The staff were friendly, and the decorations were really cute. It was brightly lit and it looked clean. They sell Dufflet cakes and have a slightly more unique tea selection. They also provide free wifi. I will definitely choose this cafe over places like Second Cup.

I agree with Jennifer K that this place lacks a certain energy - maybe it just feels too contrived in this neighborhood?
I came here on a whim after lunch - wanted to have something sweet but absolutely none of the pastries seemed all that tempting. Everything looks clean and tidy, but the desserts seem nicer to look at than to eat. I settled on gelato - unfortunately this wasn't great either. Pistachio flavor wasn't good enough to finish and the coffee flavor was okay. Overall the texture was a bit runny with bits of ice, which is never good.
I wanted to like this place more, but I don't think I'd return. As pretty as the decor is, I don't think I can satisfy a real craving for dessert here. -

What makes this place unique is that special magic that brings back Korean women/mothers/teens here as I must have walked past this shop 2-3 times and noticed that same scene over and over again.
I can't say that it'll be my regular hangout with the setting more towards some kind of British Afternoon Tea, good thing for some reason I was dressed up appropriately today but it's not mandatory here of course.
Selection of Dufflet Pastry/Cakes, Gelato, Coffee/Tea Beverages, Brownies/Cookies. The seating area was pretty full this weekday afternoon but there are some seats just outside if needed. The solo gentlemen serving here I've seen him around too during my previous fly-by, a nice men indeed.
I have to say it's not exactly one Food, Drink, Environment that makes this place special or unique but it's a combination of all those things that make this place A-OK.Listed in: Coffee Drinks, Desserts - Western

Capriccio is a little cafe located on Yonge Street just South of Finch. The deco inside is really cute... think inline of IKEA furniture, Coffee House in Japan/Korea, Yorkville, Garden Tea Party.
White cabinets, white walls, white tables/chairs, everything so clean, tidy and nice. There are shelves displaying tea cups, coffee cups, kettles and other products and they are all in pastel, light colours.
On a sunny weekday afternoon, most of the patrons are young Asian mother with their babies, Asian wives in their Burrberry trench coat....Slipping their coffees/teas chatting quietly and politely over a little piece of cake.
There are quite a cute selections of pastries, cookies, cakes and sweets. They got their pastries from Dufflet. There are also limited selections of Gelatos.
The services here is nice and friendly. Seems like a nice place to have a coffee and dessert with my girlfriends. But I found it lack the vibe and the energy of some of the other cafe. -

I come here most the time when I have to meet my clients. Great quiet atmosphere and friendly staffs :) I think they offer free coffee for students during exam time too!

I came here to kill some time while I was having my apartment cleaned. This is a nice place for a quick dessert and the service is friendly.
The cafe is well decorated and clean. The walls are adorned with merchandise and gifts. The overall look would probably be best described as, "cute". They play a mix of modern Middle Eastern and American music, and it's not loud so you can still hear yourself think.
To eat I had a Raspberry Ruggie, gelato double (Cappuccino and Raspberry) and a small coffee. The ruggie is just raspberry jam in a flaky pastry dough. It's not too sweet and tastes okay, but it seems like something you could easily make at home. The cappuccino gelato was creamy, but light on the coffee taste. The raspberry actually tastes like raspberry since it is kind of tart, but still sweet enough that it could be eaten alone. The coffee tasted pretty much like Starbucks coffee.
The service was great and very friendly. A woman was serving and she was able to explain what all the desserts were and heated up the ruggie. She also gave samples of the gelato before buying, which is standard practice.
The pricing I think should come down:
Raspberry Ruggie: $2.50
Sm. Coffee: $1.60
Gelato Double: $4.25
Feeling like you overpaid for dessert: priceless
The assortment of dessert cakes and pastries is a lot more than the selection of gelato. However, you can experiment with the different permutations of the available flavors. The desserts are not very sweet, but the texture and flavors make for a good adult style dessert.Listed in: Psychoactive Stimulants, Sphenopalatine…
