Went to Capital for my first tattoo ever and had it done by Jen. Awesome! I love it, she did a fantastic job, made sure I was comfortable. The 2-hour session flew by. A great experience. I highly recommend Capital and Jen. Shop is clean, atmosphere is great, Jen is fantastic. Not only does she do great work, she's awesome to deal with.
Thanks to Jen, I WILL get more tattoos and I WILL be booking them with her!

I had been wating to get my first tattoo for a few years but being a rookie I did not know where to go or what to expect (I was also being slightly chicken and was totally procastinating). I saw Capital Tattoo's booth at Capital X and decided to just go for it.
First guy I talked to came off as slightly arrogent and tried to convince me the way I wanted my tattoo was wrong (it was lettering on my wrist and I wanted the word to face me). I ended up talking to another guy who was very helpful and gave me some pointers and made me feel a little more relaxed about the whole thing (cute too - shoulda got his #!).
Casper was the one who tattooed me but it was a girl drew up the tattoo. They were really awesome in making sure it was what I wanted and incorporating a few details and making a few small changes! Casper was great! Talked me through it (easy to chat with too - good convo) - told me what to expect and how to make it easier on myself - really tried to make me as comfortable as possible! I really felt like they wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with everything! The other guy I talked to at first was nice too - kept checking on the progress making sure I was doing OK.
I am already thinking of what to get on my other wrist and would definitely go to Capital Tattoo for it!! They really made my first tattoo as painless as possible and did not at all make me feel like a silly little rookie girl!! -

I got my second tattoo done here by Jessica.
I'd researched the artists online because a friend of mind had a pretty major piece done at this shop. The piece I got was girly and colorful with specific designs in mind. I'd communicated with Jess via email sending pictures. When I arrived for my appointment, she showed me her drawing and it was pretty much exactly as I'd pictured it.
She consulted me about the colors as she was doing the tattoo. It was great! It was a rather large tattoo but we went for three hours with one small break. I still need to go back for the free touch-ups and she said she wanted to take a photo of it for her portfolio.
The store is comfortable. There's a nice leather couch where I sat flipping through the artists' portfolio photos. It's very clean and you can really feel the team atmosphere.
