This store is among the best candy stores in Metro Edmonton. The ladies who own the store and their staff are fantastic and know their stuff.
If you want British chocolate, which is decadent, this Candy Bouquet has the best selection I've seen. Their Turkish Delight bars are British, with very soft turkish delight inside surrounded by a thin layer of British chocolate. It's like heaven in a store!
They also carry British crisps (potato chips) in several different flavours, though some sound almost like an acquired taste.
They also have candy from the U.S. like Necco Wafers, Sky Bars, PayDay, Baby Ruth, etc.
Candy Bouquet is open late on Thursdays, and last I checked they were closed on Sundays and Mondays. They're located right across from the old Post Office in downtown St. Albert.

Wow, I really need to get back to the UK! Until then, this is as close as it gets when it comes to sweets! Keep in mind these are imported goods and as such the price is a bit higher than your convenience store chocolate bar. But is it ever worth it!

I have a sensitivity/allergy to soy. If you check the ingredients of practically everything chocolate in North America, it contains soy lecithin. It's horrible because I love chocolate! Gratefully in England they don't add unnecessary ingredients to their candy. Last time I was there, which was well over a decade ago, I fell in love with Cadbury's Flake bar. So, today I got one. I also noticed something interesting - you know Cadbury's Easter Cream Eggs right? They have them available in chocolate bar form! Seriously! The same filling and chocolate only not in egg shape. I had to get one simply for the novelty of it.

An interesting tidbit for those with celiac disease, I've been told that only North American liquorice contains gluten. So, get some good stuff at the Candy Bouquet!

This store is the real deal. I got there just before close and didn't even have a chance to see everything but what I did see was amazing. Besides, stores like these must have a time limit as far as my personal shopping goes.
