I tried this place about 2 years ago and had regular greek food ( in think roast lamb or sovlaki). While it was good, I havnt attracted enough to visit the place again.
Today, I decided to visit this place again as a friend recommended their pizza. I should say it was one of the best pizzas I have had in Vancouver. Reasonable toppings and lots of cheese. The price was also reasonable. As I am a fan of meet pizzas I would recommend candia speciality or cheese berger pizza. They also have delivery and good deals on take outs.
For dining in, the place has a very nice decore. On the downside, our waitress was not very friendly which was not a big deal. -

Finally made effort to come here to eat, very easy to miss since most ppl drive too fast on West 10th ave to stop.
When you first enter, it's actually quite a throw back to the 70s, or maybe even 60s! but in a good, historical kind of way. definitely home-style, wooden tables, wooden walls, wooden everything! I would say cozy if there was more space but it's pretty tight in there.
anyways, i ordered:
baked lasagna. generally a favourite, it's packed w/ flavour & mozzarella, and a choice of meat balls or pepperoni, which of course i chose the meat balls.
French soup was above average, i prefer w/ lots of onions.
It's been here for awhile, think the server said 17 years, so gotta respect the owner for running a resto biz for this long. they're nuts! lol
I'll come back again, more for the atmosphere and next time try the pizza.
and if you've got a UBC card, $2 off, yay... -

Fantastic pizza, in my opinion the best in Vancouver. I've ordered from here countless times over the years, and it's consistently excellent. Their pizza has a fairly thick crust, the sauce is the best I've tasted and there's lots of it, and they are very generous with both cheese and toppings. Their prices are also very reasonable (something like $16 for two 3-topping smalls and $22 for two 3-topping mediums).
The other stuff on their menu is a bit more hit or miss, although still solid (their vegetarian lasagna is quite good, for example, but their garlic bread always seems to be slightly burnt), but it's the pizza that's the star of the show here.
Highly recommended -- I would give them 6 stars if I could. -

I only have bad things to say about this place. The place is definitely cramped with the seating set-up just as we had read in other reviews. But people also said that the food was good. It was not. My lamb sovlaki was decent but my bf's roast lamb was too dry. My favourite side-dish with Greek food is always the roast potato but all I could taste was salt and my bf said the same. The roast veggies was also too dry and definitely over-cooked. Our server looked like she had a super bad day (and maybe she did) but we were afraid to even talk to her any further than to ask for the bill. By the end of the evening, we decided it was a good experience but we would probably not return as nothing enticed us. When we asked for the bill we presented a coupon to receive $13 off and our server gave us the most po'd look. I'm not sure if there is a rule as to when the coupon is applied, before or after tax, but we have always had coupons applied before the tax. Our server charged us the full amount with tax and then deducted $13 off. When we questioned her about it she got very defensive and said "That's how it's always been here and we do the same to all customers." I didn't want to question her further so we decided to just pay the bill as she had requested, without tips. Needless to say, we are definitely NEVER coming back to this place again.

Greek cuisine. Fresh and good service. Decor is retro dark and wood panel. Lotsa of 2 seaters. We had the lamb soulvaki. The lamb was on the tough side, but overall very good.

i feel unjust rating this place without having tried the pizza.
but on the pasta alone, i was bored. simply adding parmesean (or offering me some) would have gone a long way.
the inside of this place is kind of cute and reminded me of greece, even though i've never been (another unjust assertion). the ambience wasn't really strong though, and were i 30 years older, i may have enjoyed it more. maybe it was just an off-day.
