Review from Vik K.

After reading numerous positive reviews about Cam's, I decided to take my Acura TSX in for some minor repairs.
It's great when a business lives up to the hype. My car was fixed promptly (and about half the price Acura down the road was quoting me -- see my Acura Downtown review).
Cam's Auto will now be the only place I get my car serviced. -

I found Cam's Auto when searching for "muffler repair shop toronto" through Yelp. The reviews don't lie this place is awesome. They had me in and out in just over an hour on a Monday morning. Great breakfest spot right down the street where you can enjoy some coffee and eggs while waiting.
I also took advantage of their $10.00 of oil change coupon that was posted on their website.
I wrote a blog post about the whole experience on

Will be back for sure!!! -

Cam is the BEST!
First of all, this place is pink. Wicked awesome.
Cam, "The Boss", runs a tight ship here. Their website says they work on up to 50 cars a day, and if you ever go in, you'll see it's true - it's usually hard to even find a spot in their lot to park your sick car.
They can usually fix anything within a day or two - the speed of service is fantastic, and the mechanics are all extremely friendly!
I have moved to the opposite end of the city, but I refuse to take my car anywhere else!Listed in: Things I Discovered (or at…

So the free repair didn't last as long as I had hoped (not the mechanic's fault) so I had to take my car in to get it properly fixed. Going in it was just supposed to be a $300 fix to put in a new front exhaust pipe. After closer inspection the mechanic needed to put in a new oxygen sensor and catalytic converter also.
This brought the total up to $750, but that's it, only $750. They didn't charge me for labour, only the cost of the parts and their markup. Good deal!1 Previous Review: Show all »

After reading Chris P's review - and - listening to my Nissan Pathfinder's ever louder "voice", I had to do something.
Off to Thruway I went. No appointment, no calls, just drive up and pray.
The guy, (d00d), behind the counter took my information, gave me a general idea of what it could cost and told me he'd call me before noon with an estimate, (around $450).
Just for fun, I showed him Yelp on my iPhone and read him Chris P's review.... he said, "oh, the guy with the Honda". (Chris, now we know what you drive).
What actually happened: The guy called me an hour after I dropped off the car and said that it was a simple problem, easy to fix and the only charge is for labour as no parts were used. Total paid: $60
If every service provider was like this, it would be a better world.
I'd give them six stars if I could, honestly. -

hi: i have been having trouble with the security system , ignition on my car. Sometimes it does not recognize the key and just won't start until you leave the key in 15 minutes and the flashing security light goes off.
Often the whole electrical system does not come on for up to five minutes, lights , radio, ectra
Lots of people with the 2003 Oldsmobile Alero have the same thing, no wonder they no longer make them!
So last Friday my car stalled and wouldn't start after acting up like this all week. The tow truck driver suggested Cam's as my mechanic was quite far and not open Saturdays.
Well despite right near closing at 6 pm. the mechanic took a look at it and gave me an idea what was wrong. I rented a car down the street at Enterprize and they gave me a discount because i mentioned i was getting car fixed at Cam's (the whole staff use him too) On Monday they ordered a new ignition . I noticed on their website they also did air conditioning and mine was not working very well and they also do the Rust Check treatment ( coupon on the web site for $10 off. ) I am so happy with them. my new mechanics !.....i am so knocked out, they even guarantee all their work for one year.....five stars plus....... -

I read a review here and decided to try them out. Nice guys... I had a problem with power steering. I bring my car in and surely enough i get a quote back for $800. I look at the cost break down and check the price of parts online and the pieces are all marked up 100%. $200 piece online was quoted to me as $400. The alignment was $80... Which is expensive if if its part of $800 deal. So i was sceptical.
I decided to tough it out and take my car to the US to get fixed... Total cost $160. I had one blown tube... That was it. if these guys had done the proper tests they would have noticed.
Truth is that most cars are well built these days and mecanics have a hard time surving if they only change what needs to be changed. Mechanics have tried to con me almost every time i've been. They key is to always get a second opinion.
The other reviewers sound good, but i can't recommend these guys.
