So you go on an international trip and you're looking for lunch and you stumble on a place called, "California Pizza." Do you eat here? We did. And I don't regret it.

I'm not a big pizza person, mostly because I know they're not usually good for you. I like my pizzas with veggies and a thin crust, not greasy. Well, this is how they make THEIR pizzas. It was tasty.

We were eating after a trip to the Montreal "MFA" around 14:30 and the place was completely empty. We ordered a salad that was great, like all Montreal salads. No iceberg lettuce here, ever! The California salad had fresh greens, tomato wedges, cucumbers, avocado, olive, and an artichoke heart. We also had the Napa Valley pizza with pesto, green bell pepper, and artichoke heart pieces. They baked it in a stone oven. It was delicious, light, and crispy. Perfect amount of food for two that didn't leave us feeling fat.

The decor is contemporary, nice wood floors, dark furniture, nice color-accented walls. Upstairs where the bathrooms were seemed to be the "bar" part of the place with a large dance floor area so it might be a good time at night. Service was good, they accept credit cards.

Great place! But why is it always empty? Sometimes the music is a bit annoying if you are right under the speakers though. However the service and food are excellent. Great pizza (i recommend california) and great salad (california as well or  the fresno) The california salad has incredients like artichoke, grapefruit, tomatoes, and more. I have to insist that I recommend their salads because the ingredients are exceptionally fresh... The pizza was great too, I would say just as good or better than the other typical italian crescent restos (however, does  not have the same ambiance) like winestein's and pino's...
